Kirby has done more in his first 5 years as a head coach than 99% of other coaches.

Got unlucky with a qb and had some shite officiating in the NC game.

Other than that, we have gone Liberty, Rose, NC game, Sugar, Sugar, Peach(in a rebuild).

Some of you are just terrible posters.

About on par with Richt through 5 years though Richt had more SEC Titles and the same amount of division tiles. Kirby does have a NCG appearance and more major bowls.

However, had the playoffs been around in 2002, Georgia would have went to the playoffs. Also, it's easier to make a major bowl appearance these days then the early days of the Richt era. Back then there was 4 major bowls, with one of them the national championship. There are 6 major bowls now plus the national championship. The SEC usually on got 1 team in the BCS bowls back them, now the SEC will get 3 or 4 teams in the New Year's Six.

The 1st 5 years of the Kirby era are almost identical to the 1st 5 years of the Richt era.

In conclusion, Kirby=Richt

Kirby was also dealt a better hand in year one than 99% of coaches. It's not every day a coach takes over a program that fired a coach who went 10-3 the previous two seasons. Not to mention being in the middle of one of the most fertile recruiting grounds in America, possibky the best all things considered. WHat do you think that record looks like if he took over a program like Tennessee?
