Did you read this from my friend allin2010?
Yes, even said it was a great response. My original post supported OP claims so what are you exactly getting at?
I still stick by post also Auburn is moving to the same type of model. Allin2010 broke down the raw numbers even said Auburn only has 1600 more Alabama residents. It's only so many College ready seniors in the state.
Alabama Nursing/Education/Law
Auburn Veterinarian/Civil Engineering/ Agricultural
UAB Medical/applied Studies
So a University shouldn't go out and try to recruit the best possible talent even if in a state you find unappealing? I lived in California trust me it ain't a shite hole outside the big metros it's very conservative.

You are so right. Most of these posts on here can't get past their own football team. This is about big business and unlike the typical football fanatic, the Universities care mostly about the business side of making money.
The University of Alabama is on the cutting edge of recruiting students in its model. They have also unapologetically used Football NC success to reach out to out-of-state students, as was plainly pointed out by our administration years ago on a 60 minutes piece done on Coach Saban's impact at the University.
Will others follow such a business model? Sure, like they always do when someone has a better mousetrap.
