Cal and Kentucky added a Top 5 class to a veteran roster?

I must have missed that dude to my amateur basketball fan status.

Wrong. JQ is a great player, but he is not a sudden one on one breakdown guy, and he struggles to finish at the rim against bigs. See UCLA.

The game he had 20 points? Guess those were all jump shots.

And expecting a freshman to come in and be the answer over your current 5 star on the roster is the definition of amateur

One down year and now he's no good.

You've been garbage for 2 decades. Sit down.

The game he struggled at the rim against UCLA's big, yes. He was 6/12 at the rim against UCLA, which is not a very high % for rim shots. Many were blocks because he struggles to finish with power.

LOL - over him? They're both gonna play a ton. We'll have them both on the floor together a ton, possibly starting together.

JQ is awesome. We're very excited to have him back. Adding Davison isn't some sort of 1 for 1 trade - it's a supplement to JQ.

I'm glad you are so interested in our roster next year, but you should actually dive into it first, I think.

You lose 50% of your top 8 players in minutes.

Acting like that's not a big deal and those holes will just be filled by freshman is just arrogant.

Dick riding other blue bloods now?

Make a final four or more than one elite 8 and get back to us when you're ready to play with the big boys.

Chokers.

They are going to be filled by guys who played a lot and played well already - Ellis, Primo, Gary, as well as one very specific freshman who is a Top 5 player and the best high school point guard in the country. A group of redshirt freshmen will be filling their roles (Frenchy, Miles, KAH). And that doesn't even mention the probable addition of Numari Burnett and possibly another transfer like Gurley.

Sorry you seem hell bent on us not being really good again next season, but we are going to be really good. So is Arkansas. How good, I dunno, but folks thinking we'll just be back to going 18-14 again are going to be in for a rude awakening.

A sweet 16 as a 2 seed and you're ready to take over the world.

Where did I say that?

I said ya'll are arrogant assuming you'll just reload and wreck shite again after ONE season with Oats. You have no idea how those guys are going to gel.

Losing 50% of your top 8 is a big deal, one of which was player of the year in 2 categories.

The post I responded to was Internet dads on the front page.

Take a look and get back to me bud.

I haven't seen anyone say we'll "wreck shite" (which I assume means go 16-2 in the SEC again). I doubt that happens and I expect our conference record to be worse. I think we're one of 4-5 teams with a realistic shot at the title, but nothing more than that.

I fully expect to be a better, more dangerous tournament team by March 1 than we were this year. The roster is deeper and more versatile. It's a great mix of returning players and incoming elite talent. Could we never figure it out? Sure. But the roster is very good, very deep and perfectly fit to what Oats want to do.

We'll see.

That's fair my man. I wasn't responding to you.

Like I said, responding to InternetDad on the front page.

I would say very similar about our team. Probably a little less dangerous unless Toney can truly be the Moody replacement but we're in on some pretty solid transfers.

Losing Justin Smith is pretty tough, not sure we're able to replace him which will be a huge hole on this team.

In reality it's impossible to make any real determinations about next season yet when 1/4 of the players are currently free agents.

Agreed.

Hell, chances are that our team never gels the way it did this year and we struggle some down the stretch. Luckily it looks like the SEC will be pretty manageable. At least for a tourney birth.

LSU is going to fall off, Florida as well. Auburn and Kentucky are the wild cards.

We were dead in the water at half against Auburn.

I know ya'll remember waxing our asses.
