My biggest surprise is Georgia. They should be in the top half of the league in everything.
Considering talent pool, university size, wealth, and reputation you'd definitely think so.

Yes. UGA is disappointing. They should be better in everything. Sorta on Florida’s level IMO being the flagship school in Georgia with all those recruits

These lists can't be factual!!!!!!

Probably should be even better than Florida, who has to compete with Florida State and Miami, while Georgia really only has to compete in-state with Georgia Tech (who has rougher admission standards I think, plus is a city campus).

Not really. Its strong with message board fans.
There have been quite a few baseball games that largely outdrew basketball games at Texas over the past few years, and baseball hasn't even been as good as the set standard at Texas over the past decade.
There are a several schools that basketball is third behind baseball. I'd say at least Texas, Miss St., Texas A&M and Ole Miss are all like that.
I would say Vanderbilt, but baseball might be bigger than football there, too (just probably not overall attendance-wise)

I think you can definitely throw LSU in there too.
It's interesting that the deep college baseball love goes from Texas to Mississippi, crossing 2 conferences, but doesn't really extend any further East (Alabama, Auburn, Georgia). Carolina clearly cares a lot, but I don't know as much about their historical baseball fandom.

You are probably right. Georgia Tech is really no threat to UGA in most sports anymore.

Football 1. Alabama (1,202) 2. LSU (569) This is obscene. There's no way this right. I don't care if you show all of your work and the math. It's incorrect.
The best part: During lsu's best ever run the past 20 years, Bama has pulled further ahead....

Vanderbilt's ranking drops when you add Baseball? You done messed up your math somewhwere.

Their average does from 11 to 10. However, States rise more.

That is interesting, I have never thought about that geographically speaking. Even the smaller schools in Louisiana and Mississippi have baseball as #2, USM, ULL, Tulane. You could throw Rice in there too

Yep - and Arkansas has a similar baseball ferver, they just also love basketball.
It's an interesting little sub-regional thing in Texas/Western South.

Rice, much like Cal State Fullerton, Coastal Carolina, Eastern Carolina and maybe even Missouri State is one of the small schools that definitely has baseball above everything else.

Seems criminal to weigh college baseball the same as college football. Might as well include softball at that point.

Well that's why there is the option to ignore it all together and just look at the Big 2

Surprising that LSU could make up that big of difference in football with basketball. Those 3 Final Fours must have really come into play.
Eta: Forgot about the one in the 50s.

Love these threads. Solid info
funny LSU fans love them when LSU is at the top, but when bhmkyle does the same kind of thread that has LSu ranked lower in some metric he's a troll lol
