There’s all kinds of fail in this post.

We competed every Saturday except against Uga, we faltered in the second half for some damn reason but we competed.

We should have beat the number 1 team in the country with all those big time recruits you melt for with a QB that is barely functioning athlete.

You along with others have been very unrealistic in your expectations you had doe 2021 and even 2022, and that’s your own doing.

We have a coach that wants to win now but his focus is changing the culture in being mentally and physically tougher than the other team lining up against us. It’s going to take a minute to get it to where he wants it. Everyone was talking about how this recruiting is a huge failure and then we make a giant leap in the last week.

Harsin can recruit and he has proven he will get the right coaches to succeed. Everyone in our fan base wants to compete and win, beat our rivals more regularly. However, I am focused on the bigger picture and trusting Harsin is going to build a long term consistent winner every year.

Could I be wrong? Yep but I can see through the rubble of last year and saw some good things. I can see the path he is headed on and I like it. Does losing suck? Hell yeah but I knew soon after Harsin was hired it was going to take 3-4 years after I started reading about his plan and process. I do get the angst and impatience but I am choosing to trust his vision and give him the chance to really bring us back to where we are competing annually for a place at the top.

I hope he proves me right. You all can stay in the deep end thrashing about wailing and gnashing your teeth. You do it quite a bit whether things are good or not. You already contradicted yourself in this thread, but you keep doing you bro. It’s just not the world I choose to live in and I can promise you I am as competitive or more than anyone in our fan base.

Oh and the portal you’re so down on and think is an indication of poor recruiting is nothing close to that. It’s the new future of roster management that every team will be faced with. It’s just a matter of how many you may need each year. And get used to favorite Auburn players leaving just to see if they can get a better NIL deal or they rather play in Gainesville instead of Auburn, or they think they look better in Red and white instead of Orange and Blue.

I’ve bitched all season about recruiting but the past 2 weeks have been promising. Do I think we have a stellar recruiting staff? Probably not. We are benefiting greatly by coaching changes at 2 powerhouse conference teams. Just like others benefited last year with ours. Top 15-20 is acceptable in a first year. Top 10 is a must next year.

The portal deniers have to face that college football is like free agency now. We will take 5-10 every year going forward. We will also lose that amount each year. Some will be because players not fitting in, wanting to get back towards home, unhappy, some will be culling by the coaches. It works both ways.
