You also had three 10-win seasons and a conference title in those 10 years
Which almost made it worse, as all 3 were followed up by disaster
- 1999 SEC Champions ---- followed by crippling NCAA Probation and a 3-9 season
- 2002 10 win season ---- on probation, can't go to SEC Title, lost at home to finish the year to huge underdog Auburn. Season is followed up by coach leaving for TAMU, Mike Price and Destiny, hiring Mike Shula in May and a 4-9 season.
- 2005 10 win season ---- lost to LSU and Auburn down the stretch, followed up by 6-7 season and coach being fired

Btw, A&M had a 10-year stretch worse than that more recently, 1999-2009. 71-63 record, zero 10 win seasons and zero conference titles or even division titles, and got beat 77-0 with the above mentioned Alabama coach.
It was basically the same run sans our 1999 SEC Title (which, of course, was followed up by crippling probation).

How about Arkansas last 10 years? South Carolina? Miss St? Ole Miss? I could go all day.
If that's your worst 10 years ever, consider yourself lucky. Not to mention when you aren't in your "thin" times, you're winning a NC multiple times every decade.
Nobody claims we are UTEP or something, but this weird notion that Alabama hasn't been bad before and all fans have known is glory and sunshine is really strange, especially from people who took great joy in how shitty we were (and let us know about it over and over and over) between Stallings and Saban.

I'm just saying its your perspective, I'm sure it seemed horrible to you, but probably 95% of fanbases have had stretches like that or worse in the past 30 years.
