He does, but generally speaking by the time he could even get to his 3rd read the pass protection has already broken down. Miami's OL is really, really bad. Fitz comes in and is able to produce, but he gets lit up and takes a lot of chances in the process, and taking all those chances is what got him benched in the first place. They just have a long way to go on offense and need more than one or two pieces to get there. Tua hasn't been great by any stretch of the imagination, but he's hardly the problem.
Fitz is a super aggressive thrower, that is is identity throughout his career, but he’s gonna throw 2.5 INTs per start. Admittedly, he’s a journeyman playing on teams roughly always with ‘20 Phins type talent.
Why do the vast majority of the great QBs on great rosters in college throw like less than an INT per game? Their receivers don’t frick up all the time. Great receivers protect their QB’s stats by not running sloppy routes and getting separation.
