Maybe Travis Williams doesn't want to take what he considers a demotion or a step back as far as his career goes. He was coaching the entire LB corps. Maybe Harsin wants someone who has West coast experience/ties for recruiting purposes. Maybe he does want a culture change on the defensive side. I have no idea.

At least for Watts, he also has DC experience like Schmedding.

And this could be DC Mason's footprint on these interviews or possible hires on defense...
