It became a sanctioned sport this year. Due to the low number of schools participating, there were 2 classes: A-5A and 6A-7A. The games consist of two 20 minute halves with a running clock, so the games go by quick. As one poster said, it’s not that bad. I expected it to be but actually enjoyed the games I attended. It’s exponentially better than watching a 3 hour softball game on a 107 degree heat index day.

One noteworthy point is that an A public and an A private vied for the State championship in the A-5A class. I expect that to be more of an anomaly, assuming the sport grows, but it was neat to see small schools have success against some bigger ones.
