Are we just looking for reasons to melt at this point? Do we just love melting?

Some of us are putting a lot of stock in folks that have proven time and time again that they have no clue what they're talking about.

Auburn has done a fantastic job of keeping things quiet. Not a single interviewer has been leaked yet. Pretty remarkable

Puppet is a fine gentleman... but I don’t know his sauces from a Chick-fil-A sauce

He won't sign it until after the game. Oregon has never and will not pay SEC money for a head coach. Auburn still has time to get him on board. I have seen a lot of people say that he wants the Auburn job. If he comes he will officially be announced Sunday I believe.

I still believe we are getting the Duck Man.
Just my 2 cents.

It’s easier to win at Oregon than it is here. Nationally, they are at least as recognizable as we are. If he turned it down, it’s easily understandable to me.

It's 2 hrs from the coast, weed is legal & nowhere near the pressure of the SEC.

But you’re not allowed to pump your own gas in Oregon. What kind of commie shite is that, this is America damnit.

Come home Mario, and pump as much fuel as you want in that free f-150 we’ll give you.

I’m not super stuck on any of the guys out there, but MC has proven he can recruit with the best of them and we really need that to keep up with UGA, Bama, LSU, TAMU. His latest class he pulled guys from all over the western US. I’d be happy with Campbell too.

That was THE reason I would have been very happy with Cristobal.

We've seen under Gus that bringing in consistent top 15 classes just isn't gonna cut it when that leaves you at 6 or 8 in the conference. The gap will continue to widen and it will get nearly impossible to catch those programs. We HAVE to be able to pull top 10 classes every year to keep up with them.

And Kirby has proven that elite recruiting is great, but not the only ingredient.

Any coach with some charisma can recruit well enough at Auburn to keep us competitive in the SEC. We've never had top classes, but we've been able to win.

MC can recruit, that's about all I know of that guy. Seems like a middle-of-the-road type HC outside of recruiting.

Matt Campbell would be a better choice than Mario Cristobal. He turned Iowa State into a top 25 program and they currently are ranked top 10.

Hopefully both have been contacted.

But Georgia, as an overall program, has left Auburn in The dust.

We aren't close to being competitive with them and it is purely based on talent.

Yea, I don't get it. Malzahn is a good coach and there's no way Auburn should be paying that ridiculous buyout. Malzahn's problem is recruiting. Your current class is crap. But the AD should have just told him to hire some better recruiters and stick it out with Malzahn until you can negotiate a better contract. sheesh

I mean, technically nothing is done yet. They approved a contract. Doesn't mean MC accepts and signs it.

MC is gone. Why do we think differently?
