Serious question.
Most difficult job in the country to hire for, IMO.
If I'm the AD I'm going to gather whatever boosters I've got available and at least try to get Meyer on the phone, and I'm dead serious. He'll never take it, I know, but I'm going to make it clear I'm serious about winning there.
When CUM turns me down I'll start to look elsewhere, but they might as well start at the top.

Vanderbilt has to do something different.
Chadwell from Coastal, Fritz from Tulane, Monken from Army, even Paul Johnson.
Somebody who runs a funky, unique system.

I've said it for years, go triple option. See if Paul johnson is truly done, or steal a service academies coach

Continue the SECE tradition of hiring a Saban assistant. We've got a Golding model with very little wear and tear that would look great in black and gold.

Vanderbilt should run triple option like military academies and also not a place a woman on the football team!!!

Looking for the first female head coach in the SEC.

They should go full on spread, throw it every down, never punt, run 100 plays a game.

Gotta be an offensive guy

Does Vandy have the money for a top name hire?

Gus Malzahn is available, I'm sure they will waive the buyout

Clark Lea, the Notre Dame DC. He’s a Vandy alum who’s been a driving force in Notre Dame’s success over the past few seasons.

Maybe try to hire the guy at Buffalo? I don’t know. I don’t see an up and comer wanting that job. I know it’s SEC but almost nobody is going to turn that job into something better. Franklin was the one guy who did it.

I doubt Napier would want it
Maybe coastal’s coach
Escape hatch for someone like Herman

Boosters? At Vandy?

Again, you don't know much about Vandy if you think they'd call Urban Meyer. He made their former chancellor, Gordon Gee, look like a fool when they were both at Ohio State.

This would be awesome.
Whatever it is, they need to find someone who is good at whatever their different, unique system is and give him full reign to do it.

Yes but they don't care a bout that.
