I don’t think Leach is the worst coach but his offensive unit is the worst unit in the league and it’s not really close.

I may have missed it, I just saw that all of your Qbs tds came against LSU, other than that he's barely avg 200 ypg.
Im just trying to figure out your apparent Leach hate when it seems the 2 teams are very similar.
UK game was he was told to be careful and game planned it. not throw much and run a lot more. It worked. He could have thrown a lot more but why risk getting interceptions? That is where Kentucky lived off of turnovers. Leach keep calling for passing and it is what cost him several games. Did you not see it? He isn't changing his play calling. That is why no one wanted to hired him. Doesn't have a balance attack. Very few running plays. Drinkwitz is the better HC so far. Missouri need to recruit a lot better. Drinkwitz is in his second year as a HC. Leach? Many years. See the difference? Not very bright with the same offense scheme for over 20 years or so. Beat LSU when Drinkwitz was at a huge disadvantage. Only Vanderbilt have a lower recruiting class than Missouri. That is what you are not getting it. If Drinkwitz have mostly 4* at key position then that would not be a problem. Drinkwitz have to outsmart the other team that have the talents advantage to have a chance to win.

How would Coach Saban do with the Vandy team. How would Mason fair as HC at Bama? It's just hard to judge college coaches equally based on the enormous difference in talent levels. Now in Kirby's case, you can make an argument. Hell, even O lost 30 some odd players and two excellent coaches.

It is his system. He is having his quarterback to keep throwing the ball and it is getting intercepted more than normal. That is what killing the offense and costing MSU wins. MSU have better talents than Missouri. That is no excuses and loses to Arkansas that have lesser talents?

Hard to do a lot when the team cant execute much of the playbook.

Its pretty known that the AR teams take off their 2nd year in the system historically.

Noone's shut it down in 20 years.. Why change it? Look around CFB, the Air Raid Coaching tree is alive n well.
Air Raid is all about repetition, like Bruce Lee once said something along the lines of "I don't fear the man who practices 1,000 kicks one time, I fear the man who practices one kick a thousand times." Im paraphrasing ofcourse. But that's the jest of it, they rep a play like Mesh, Stick or Y Cross daily with the thinking even if you see it coming, its hard to stop. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. He keeps it simple for his players and the defense have to get more complex to stop it. So when the high speed no huddle starts, who you think is going to make a mistake first, the offense whos done the play dozens of times daily for months or the defender who is now thinking of what they were told to do that week to stop it? Like Coach Darrell Royal once said, A thinking player is a slow player, and you can take that to the bank.
This is how you can tell the State players haven't grasped the playbook yet, Ive never seen them go hurry up, which is what really makes the AR go to another level
Its the same thing with Chip Kelly's offense. You can usually stuff IZ or OZ but when you run it over and over the defense gets complacent then all it takes is one overreaction and it goes for 60 yards. Chip tells you the play based on where his back lines up, he wants you to know so when you run to the sideline to stop the OZ, it opens that crease backside for the RB to turn up and break your back.

I guess you didn't watched any of the MSU games! I am shocked that Kiffin and Leach were stubborn and would not make any adjustments against Arkansas! It is easy to make adjustments and that is on those two HCs for failing to do that. Both Kiffin and Leach love having the quarterback to throw the ball 90 percent of the time. A HC should not do that if it failed repeatedly then run the ball and do few other plays that is not obvious!

I watch em all. Please tell me what you would do with a Frosh QB starting his first game while youre missing your starting Tackles and have other OL playing out of position.... Ill wait
And for the record, Leach did run different plays to help his young QB. Maybe you need to go rewatch the game

So did Leach and Drink. Your point?
Apparently beating LSU this season is no big deal.
Gus literally wasted a season of eligibility for one of the gems of a recent recruiting class which led to the kids transfer after they (the staff) flat out lied about it...
He literally couldn't count to 5.
Gustavo "Booger Eater" Malzahn is my answer. I would rather have any other coach in the SEC including Muschamp or Mason...
Gus lost me in the 2017 LSU game. I'll never support him again.

I'm all for memes, but Mason is easily the answer

Missouri is missing more players. I guess you do not get it. It is about coaching what can work. Not do the same thing that isn't going to work when missing key players. Missouri is in the same boat but is doing great with very limited on OL and had to use another player that is not an OL to play on the OL. That is how bad Missouri been at compares to others who just do not know how to coach the scheme differently to make it work. Missouri is going to be 5-5 or one expert writer says 6-4. I say 5-5 is where Missouri will finish the season. That is good compare to others that have been HC for long time and have better players. It starts with the HC to hire the right coaches to fit your system and then recruit the right players to fit your system. Drinkwitz is one of those kind of HC. Arkansas is another one that is doing much better than expected. That is due to coaching! Not because of the missing players and/or bad coaches on his team. It is part of the HC to get the right coaching staff and players. hen coaching the players to do well and win games!
Leach been HC in the college level for a long time.
Drinkwitz been HC for only 2 years and is in his first year at Missouri. I guess you are not smart. Your HC has been HC a long time too. He got a head start over Drinkwitz.

State has 19 new starters (Most of ANY Power 5 school) name 19 for Mizzou.
Lets take a look at the Offense you expect to click in just 5 games with hardly any offseason.
Freshman QB Just made his first start
1 returning starter on the OL
2 Freshman RBs starting
Heath WR - (Transfer) 1st yr on the team
Walley WR - Freshman
Williams WR - Converted TE, playing new position. Already has dbl the receptions of any season before
Spivey WR - Soph Converted TE, making his first start last week over Mitchell
Mitchell WR - Senior who is already 3 catches away from matching his highest total of any season he's played at State
So by my count that's 9 new starters on the Offense and 1 learning a new position. Please tell me about Mizzou.

Irrelevant. First yr HCs go through pains their first season and this isn't a normal season due to Covid. Even The GOAT Saban lost to LA Monroe at home his first yr at Bama.

Not ragging on Tennessee here, but they need to start anew ASAP. The Vols look too much like we did under Chard. Players seem uncertain and not always playing hard.
Tennessee also needs to do a better job hiring a new coach, because they've made some really poor choices.
Our problem has been we wait a year too long to do it. Pruitt needs to be fired this instant. There's a guy out there with SEC experience who considers us his fricking dream job and who knows how offenses work. Someone is gonna hire him this year and it should be us but we will wait and get stuck with another google hire when we could've had a name brand.

Hugh Freeze. Dude actually broke into Neyland before he became a coach. He's told Chris Low multiple times that Tennessee was his dream job. He's tarnished goods but so are we at this point.
ETA: But watch us wait a year while Auburn or South Carolina make a move.

He'd be a perfect hire for right now (and I say that as someone who doesn't like him as a person or his fake jesus act but who acknowledges that he's a damn good coach) but we will let it pass us by because we won't act before someone else does.
