We’ve never been a 1 seed before have we? I know we were a 2 in the peak Gottfried days but I don’t think we’ve ever been a 1

No, we haven't. The highest was #2 seed in 2002.

Was Bruner on the bench last Night? I didn’t see him

Reese has quietly been playing really well. 13 points last night and he blocked out well last night.

All I can say about last night's game was it was nice to see JQ finally play his role. Granted it was against a shitty LSU defense, but he didn't try ISO ball. If he can get a blow by, then he's able to kick it out.

And once again, Keon is becoming my favorite player. He absolutely can take over Petty's role next year with his length. He won't be the volume scorer Petty is, but both do share a lot of similarities. I can't wait to see Juwan next year at the 4, instead of being forced to play the 5. He's a tough hard nosed player Oats has always preached about.

Keon will be the new Petty
Gary will be the new Herb.

Reese is playing the best he ever has. To have someone playing like he is coming off the bench when Bruner comes back gives us even more depth

I also thought Other than the airball and snafu at the end Miles made some nice plays. 2 really good drive and kicks for 3s and he blew by Thomas for a layup. He is another one who I think will be a big contributer next year

Yeah Miles and Ambrose are going to be good contributors in the future. They're just young. It's pretty awesome that they've still been able to get quality PT due to blowouts this year. Can't remember a season where we've seen our backups get so much PT.

I think if Ellis is given the opportunity to play 25+ minutes every night and settles into more of a starter mindset we will see his offensive production tick up a good bit. Right now he seems more comfortable deferring to others on offense though and is content with just being a defense first role player. Which is fine, because he's an absolutely fantastic on ball defender and creates all kinds of havoc in passing lanes.

Miles is certainly intriguing. Long body, long strides, smooth, good looking outside shot.

Add 10 lbs of muscle to that frame and he can really do a lot of things.

Think we'll actually be favored Saturday. Despite their poll spot, Haslam, BPI, TeamRank, Sagarin, etc. all have Missouri in the range 30-40. Comparable to Florida, Arkansas, and LSU

If we can pull out the win Saturday we probably start getting 1 seed projections in the majority of polls.

Yes, Ellis has a very confident and unaffected look about him. Just seems zoned in all the time. He an Primo look like really good young players. Those two guys are taller than folks may realize too. They are up there.

If Primo comes back to go with JD and all the other guys we got coming back....We are gonna be Final 4 good next year.

Will that go down as our strength of Schedule goes down following Mizzou? Because we aren't going to finish at #22 after we play the weak half of our schedule.

I thought that '87 team had a chance to win it all, but they ran into a Rick Pitino coached and Billy Donovan led red-hot Providence team. That day, they shot the ball about a well as Bama did in their 1st game @ LSU this year.
