He's won championships only at places where multiple coaches have won championships, especially Alabama

I once thought like this when I was kid and we had an awesome coach. Then we lost that coach and it took a long time to get another good one. Then for the second time in my life we have the best one. But it was a 25 year or so gap. Now it is true some schools invest more time and money than others. It is still primarily about the coaching. Alabama's image doesn't win football games, talent and coaching does. My point is that both Saban and Dabo would probably win a lot just about anywhere.

Clemson has previous NC.

Clemson was nowhere near a top team a few years ago. It was FSU and Miami's conference.

He done it the same way Danny Ford did it at Clemson. Bag men out the ying- yang!

Going back 12 years or so it was Urban was considered the El Jefe, he had Saban's number briefly, until he didn't, then Nick took the best NCAAF coach title and still has it.

At least for now

I’m sure there’s a much better coach out there who has accomplished less but is really a lot better coach than CNS.

Checking the history books you would have to look in a different division of college football. NDSU'S last coach put up an impressive resume in Div II.

You're trying way too hard man. Go, take a vacation, and come back and be at least a bit more clever than people who write on bathroom stalls.

Nebraska has championships, could he win there today?

Now with his reputation? Probably.

Before his Alabama tenure? No

He won at an LSU team that was pretty damned bad. He probably could have.

I have to give credit where credit is due. Saban is the best. You can't six knock national championships. But Dabo is coming strong and before it's all said and done could pass Saban if he keeps winning. But that is years away.

What I can say too is Saban was average at best at Michigan State. He had the one good season before he moved on to LSU. So the question I ask is was Saban a great coach already at Michigan State but lacked the resources or recruits for us to realize he was great even though it didn't show up in the win-loss column or did he improve greatly as a Coach at LSU that it proved national championship worthy or was he the same coach at LSU that he was at Michigan State and with access to better talent it brought him national championship success?

I think this year will be an important one for the ACC, Clemson especially. They have little to no competition in their conference and they have lost big in their last games of the season for 2 years. Dabo's schtick is wearing thin on people. It will be interesting to see what happens. It sort of feels like a put up or shut up year for them.
