I've been to over 150 Auburn games (home and away) and have either listened to on the radio, watch on tv, or attended in person every single Auburn football game since 1971 (I was 8 years old) except one (1987 game vs Miss St).
For me, there is only one game that even entered my mind...."The First Time Ever"...the 1989 Iron Bowl (the first one ever played in Auburn).
As important as it was to us to move it to Auburn and as big of a deal as we made about it (and it was a HUGE deal), the pressure to win that game surpassed that of ANY other Auburn game of my lifetime. The absolute pure, raw emotion of all of the Auburn fans there was indescribable. The national championship games in 2010 (which I attended) and 2013 surprisingly are 2 and 3 after that game.
Months leading up to that game, me and my Auburn buddies were scared to death of the "we beat your a s s on your grass" bumper stickers which, no doubt, would have swamped the state if we had lost...lol.
