To an extent but they had just endured ATPB and hadn't won a title in over 50 years.

No it's not.

This is the kind of sad and lonely thread you start on an LSU board when your team is on a 5-30 streak against Daddy LSU.

State's just mad bc they'll never come even close to having a season like that. How does it feel knowing your team will never make the playoffs

That you are, but here's the problem. The following is what LSU fans think they look like while celebrating the championship...
This is what LSU fans actually look like while celebrating the championship...

Hot damn we get it people. Someone wins it every year. Do it back to back or win multiple in a few years before you act like this.[quote]
Well we do have the second-most national championships and NCG appearances in the nation since 2000. And we are the only team in the nation to have a winning season and a bowl appearance in 23 of the last 25 years, including 20 in a row...

Well since it’s never happened for any team I’d agree it’s not going to happen again for a long time. They just had the greatest season ever.

This is just the way it works - when you win, you get the privilege of chirping until you are unseated!

I hope so. If not, we'll try harder next time. Congrats LSU. Enjoy it, enjoy all of it.

I remember it being a big deal for a few months but we lost a TON of talent and leadership from that team. We knew 2011 would be a mediocre season.

2011 Auburn was one of the worst 8 win teams I've ever seen. I guess it was good for yall that the rot showed up in 2012 rather than '11 or Chizik might have pulled a mediocre season out of his arse and saved his job

I'm not sure if I'd say it like that. That team beat Florida and a Top-10 USCe team (IIRC) and destroyed Virginia in the bowl game.

Many Auburn fans were not as into the season because of the lingering threat of NCAA sanctions.

“The way another fan base acts” is the sort of thing a fan of a loser program cares about. Your validation means positively nothing to us.

Hmmmm, there was never a threat of sanctions. And there were thousands of Auburn fans that went to Glendale Arizona that did not have tickets to the game. That seems like tons of enthusiasm to me....

2011 Auburn had three wins by one score and all five losses were by two scores or more. The SCar win was impressive though. I could see 2012 coming from a mile away. Chizik is a very good DC but was in over his head at HC
