Lets have a look at the last time they faced one another.
Myles Brennan: 2/4, 73 yards, 1 TD 0 INT
Killin Monks: 10/30, 92 yards, 0 TD 3 INT

Brennan is unproven, but has good potential.
Mond is a proven loser. Total and complete loser.

Missing what point? Manziel was horribly underrated coming out of high school because of his height but was regarded (until Kyler Murray) as the greatest offensive player in Texas High School Football History.
Manziel put up these numbers his senior year. (12 games)
Passing: 225-343-5 for 3559 yards and 44 TD
Rushing: 171 carries for 1,695 yards and 30 TD
Over his entire High School Career (SA Reagan and IMG), Mond put up the following numbers
Passing: 375-653-11 for 5,539 yards and 65 TD
Rushing: 422 carries for 2,797 yards and 38 TD
His numbers got WORSE his senior year and he was a reach at best.
I'm referring to the point in their careers where their egos told them they didn't have to try, because of someone constantly telling them how awesome they were (and yes, if they're telling themselves this it still counts).
Stats are irrelevant; the mentality of the player is.
Mond is basically Manziel if Manziel had similar success in college that he did in the NFL.

after 2019, brennan easily. i feel like he's soaked up the scheme and has the arm. any other year - toss up. mond has never been spectacular and is too inconsistent

Mond, seems to have good mobility and arm strength. Should improve as he continues to play. Don’t know a thing about Brennan

Mond. Brennan has never started a game and looks as skinny as an AIDS victim in year 4 in a SEC weight program.

quote:i think jimbo has lost some of the fire. i don't know if it's personal life that's doing that but he just doesn't look like he's dialed in and his teams fold like a lawn chair. also, it doesn't look to me like he's keeping up with the game offensively. his offenses look more like 2000's richt than 2010's mullen.
Does anyone here think Jimbo’s stupid or doesn’t know what he’s doing?
quote:yeah, and it's not a good one
There’s a reason Mond is his starter
quote:if they're good and jimbo hasn't lost it, MAYBE a&m will climb out of the cellar. lsu and bama are still recruiting like gangbusters and have the best staff money can buy
wait til you see the young qb’s behind Mond
quote:ok champ. we'll see.
Get your shots in now while you can because things are changing fast in College Station

Neither, both suck
Burrow was 200:1 to win a Heisman preseason
Brennan is 20:1 preseason Heisman odds
Kellen Mond at 40:1

quote:the videos of him in games shows he's putting the ball on the money with rather difficult throws between the hashes. he looks calm and confident.
From reliable source who attends every LSU practice has told me many times, when Myles practiced with the 1s he was more accurate and stronger arm than Burrow at MOST practices. Now can he handle live fire vs other elite defenses , we shall see
what he hasn't done a lot of is throw deep down the sideline and show that he can read the defense presnap with the game on the line against elite competition. burrow was otherworldly regarding the latter. all myles needs to do is not force things. he's got the supporting cast. get them the ball, let them do the work

Same guy said the same thing about Jordan Jefferson, Anthony Jennings, and Brandon Harris.
Never change LSU fans.

Great Points!
Myles has a 70 yard arm (Joe had a 55)
He’s played mop up with no intentions of throwing a long ball just running a clock out with second teamers like Racey McMath.
Myles stays healthy and progresses as coaches believe, and we’re likely playing for another SEC title again in 2020

I wouldn't say likely, but you'll be in the mix

Monds’ TD:INT ratio in 2019 was about 2:1. No thanks. I’m not taking a 33% chance of turnover every time he has the ball.
If you include rushing stats, he scored 28 TD and turned the ball over 14 times, EXACTLY 2:1.
