- 3 of Alabama's 7 wins are LSU (2012, 2016, 2018)
- 3 of Alabama's 4 losses are Auburn (2013, 2017, 2019) (the other is 2014 Ole Miss)
Good job by Gus. Solid record against Bama. What is he doing wrong against everybody else?

And that equals "can't stay ranked" to you?

He can win big games at home, it's the road part and the random shite himself game that is the problem.

That arse whipping he gave us in 2014 is the worst beatdown we’ve received since the 2011 natty

I assume none of our cocktail party wins or losses count here?

Correct, I left it at true road games

Moral of the story - beating solid teams on the road is really frickin hard.
If Bama has the best record at 7-4, I’d say it’s a pretty tall task

George are you working overtime or did you find this easily accessible? I’d like to take a closer look if you can give me the source.

Is this Final AP Poll?
I have slightly different #s in my data.
1. Alabama: 6-4 (.600)
2. Georgia: 4-7 (.364)
3. Florida: 4-9 (.308)
4. South Carolina: 5-12 (.294)
5. LSU: 3-10 (.231)
6. Texas A&M: 3-12 (.200)
7. Arkansas: 3-13 (.188)
8. Auburn: 3-14 (.176)
8. Ole Miss: 3-14 (.176)
10. Missouri: 2-10 (.167)
11. Kentucky: 2-13 (.133)
12. Tennessee: 0-14 (.000)
12. Mississippi St: 0-15 (.000)
12. Vanderbilt: 0-16 (.000)
I couldn't find where the discrepancies lie for each outside of Vandy's WKU win in 2016 not counting since WKU finished unranked in the final AP Poll.

To paraphrase Bull Durham-
3&15. 3&15. How did we ever win 3??
It’s a miracle.....
The only reason we still have Gus as our coach is that he can beat Saban at home.

I included anyone ranked in the final AP or Coaches
Pretty sure there was a year Georgia was ranked in the one poll and not the other (2015 maybe). State might have had one of those years as well, can't remember.

Alabama played LSU on the road 4 times. LSU finished ranked 3 of those times.
LSU played Alabama on the road 4 times. Alabama finished ranked 4 of those times.
Interestingly LSU has only played 2 Florida teams in Gainesville that finished ranked (2012, 2018). Alabama played 1 Tennessee team in Knoxville that finished ranked (2016).
So 1 extra from Alabama, 1 extra from Florida and 1 extra from 2019 Texas. The 4th is just due to random road/home years (A&M as a road game in 2012, as an example).

Looks like it's that Bama played the least amount of games on the list.
Yeah, Bama dodges one every year. Alabama.
