Not forced out but Saban would not give him an infield coaching position. If he wanted to keep him he would have. Now maybe we will find out it was a mistake but I believe Saban made a great decision with the new fandom from Indiana.

I seriously think Scott Cochran was about to be asked to walk by the midget. Probably due to injuries and lack of physical fitness from the last few seasons.

This is not really interesting. Most people take a pay cut when they change careers.

Coley was fired. We gave him severance, just did it on the down-low.

I don’t think Saban wanted Cochran to leave. But Alabama was absolutely moving in a different direction with the strength program, with the Sports Science Center under construction. I think we would have saw someone hired to work with Cochran to implement the updated strength program.
However, Cochran had been wanting to move to an onfield position and wasn’t ready to shake up the strength program he’s implemented for 13 years. So it was time for everyone involved to go in a different direction.

Because the heart and soul of your program went to a school in the same conference for less money.
It’s not rocket science!

And Tuna is definitely coming back.

Wouldn’t that make it obvious that Feld was never offered? Insiders being wrong again and all that business.

Feld confirmed that he was offered and Feld confirmed that he rejected.
I don’t blame him honestly.

Yeah, there’s absolutely no way that LSU would have hired the guy with the most rushing yards in program history, and 3 Super Bowl rings, 2 years ago with intentions of him eventually becoming the RB coach.

When you go from fry cook at McDonald’s to janitor at BK, maybe... Not in the world of major college football or other big money sports.
