Who knows?
Lots of things have to fall in place.
If Burrow chooses any other school than LSU, the Tigers don't win the national championship.
Key injuries, schedule, coaching changes... plenty of reasons why a season can go off track just enough to cost a team's chances at winning a national championship.
The Florida teams... Nebraska... Notre Dame... Tennessee... plenty of other schools with the resources to be top flight that aren't (or aren't for the most part) anymore. Who saw that happening?

I would say yes, they're bound to win one within the next few years.

Yeah, they should have won 2017. There is too much talent in Athens not to put together a strong year.

Highly doubtful. The Gators have won 3 since the mutts last one.

The answer is no. We will all be dead before Georgia wins another one.

Not really! Some of the best players in ga. history came under CMR'S watch.

Eventually they will find the right QB and get lucky like LSU did this year. UGA might find him out of high school and win a couple instead of having to get a transfer and only win one with him

They aren’t mutually exclusive ideas.

Yes. And if talent was the only thing that mattered, your comment could possibly have more relevance, but it doesn't.

ACC QB and pretend like he’s the guy
Newman is not an upgrade from Fromm. The Dawgs are loaded but still, teams that win NC's have superb qb play. The Dawgs don't have that. If one of their qb recruits emerges into a star they should win one in the next few seasons. The game has changed.

CMR averaged a top ten class for the last five years he was coaching
It won't take long for you gators to realize that "top ten" means shite when you're still middle of the pack in the SEC recruiting rankings.
Not trolling here but it is the truth. It will get you 10 win seasons yes but you're always fighting an uphill battle against the truly elite teams.
This is why we got so frustrated with Richt and outside of 2012 our roster was never as talented top to bottom as it is now.

Maybe if they fire Kirby and pick up O or saban

Says the fan of a team that directly benefitted from Fromm missing wide open tds in the seccg.

Maybe, maybe not. It is not like Fromm tore it up last year.

Fromm 60.8% 2,860 yds 7.4 avg 24 td's 5 ints
Newman 60.9% 2,868 yds 7.9 avg 26 td's 11 ints
From had 5 games with less than 50% completions.
Newman had 4 games with less than 50% completions. Newman throws more ints playing in an inferior league. How is this an upgrade ?

They aren't winning with Kirby. They are recruiting at the top but can't beat anyone at the top.
You know it takes time for those recruits to pan out, right? The #1 class from 18 is just now rising juniors. Of our 14 5-stars in 2019, only 3 of them were Juniors and no seniors. Our 2020 team will be the most talented Kirby has had from top to bottom.
Took Saban 10 years to win one.
Dabo 9
Ed O 8
Miles 7
Brown 22
Fisher is about the only one who accomplished it in a short time period in 4 years.

Even that 2012 team played with like 68 guys on scholarship and (apparently) only one DT.

Georgia also lost to Vanderbilt at home, and just about lost to Nicholls.
You stupid enough to equate a SEC loss to losing to Georgia Freaking State? Don’t answer that. But, by the way, didn’t Tenner just break a three game losing streak to Vandy?
And my aunt was almost my uncle but she had a vagina and stuff. You Vowels should stay away.

Newman had a slightly better passer rating, and many more rushing yards, while playing with a supporting cast talent disadvantage. Unsure if he missed wide open tds game after game like fromm did, but that was a major problem for uga last year with Fromm. Seccg would have been much closer if Fromm simply passed better.
