Now I know Coach O got lucky and caught lightning in a barrel last season

He figured if one NFL guy worked out as pass game coordinator, then any ol' NFL guy will yield the same results

Coach O is a dumbass that's basically throwing darts at buncha NFL names on a Board, there's nothing "systematic" in what he's doing, Linehan is nothing like Brady - Coach O's hire shows no continuity whatsoever

Coach O is hoping to get lucky with an NFL Asst..... again

People are making fun of this hire from LSU but I'm sure most of you guys have no clue who's the passing game coordinator for other top programs like Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma. This guy is not the offensive coordinator , he's just a PGC.

So LSU is such an elite program, they are able to scoop up an ex-NFL Head Coach and convince him to be an assistant to the offensive coordinator.

SEC = LSU and the 13 peasants

Scott Linehan. What a disaster he was in STL. I'll never forget seeing Torry Holt verbally abuse him on the sideline.

I take it that there still isn’t faith in letting Ensminger call the offense by himself. I was told Ensminger called all of the plays anyway and LSU wouldn’t miss a beat with just him.

Doesn't matter. As long as LSU has Ed O and Ensminger they'll be fine. Those two did everything any way

Y’all are putting way too much stock into this hire the guy is NOT the OC. He’s here to add to the playbook not to call plays. Brady was a different situation, he was far more attached to the offense than not. Scott will be Joe Brady!

I'm fine with it.

O hinted in interview that we have our offense and it isn't changing. Linehan will help on 3rd down and redzone. Same playbook but it comes down to execution.

if the offense succeeds this year, and I think it will, \ LSU will again be looking for another Passing Game coordinator this time next year. All while building O's coaching tree on wait for it... Offense.

There isn't a program in the country that would trade places right now. Well, not one in the SEC at least. I doubt Clemson wants to get rid of their bubble wrap fight schedule. Even pillow fight is too aggressive for that list of teams in 2020

345 posts? Impressive SECR melt, baws.

Regardless of what he did at the Cowboys, the rest of his resume is great. And he’s way overqualified to just oversee the passing game.

I would have rather young blood, but I’m banished from trashing O. If he’s a fan then I’m cool with it.
