We’re ranking head coaches, right? Those are, by default, CEOs and program managers. Once you are the HC, you have to focus on what only you can do. You have coordinators and position coaches for the Xs and Os.
That’s how it works when you move up at any job. Do what only you can do and make sure the others do their jobs.

Jimbo is overrated in these things. He was average in every year he has coached that he didn’t have Winston at QB

Not exactly the case with CFB coaches. Some
are CEO types (Dabo,Coach O)Others have their hands over every aspect of the program or are heavily involved in coordinating one side of the ball (Saban, Mahlzan and Kirby)

This one could backfire with LSU fans

Pruitt is interesting at 10.
Tennessee fans, just how bad was the locker room environment over there early this season, and the last couple years?
People crushed Orgeron for the Troy game, but it was necessary (per some) to break the attitude and reclaim the program.
Pruitt had 2 such games this year, Ga State and BYU. Those should be gimme's, and that would make Tennessee 10-3 this year.
Did he NEED BOTH to happen?

You’re crazy to put Smart and Malzahn in with Orgeron, and Jimbo. Those 2 have something Smart and Malzhan do not.

Yes imo

Kirby Smart is a mediocre to poor in-game coach, and that won't change.
According to some clueless douche on the internet.

Until either actually does something, we are tied for the bottom. But Mizzou owns that RRRRR-kansass pork sammie program. I'm glad your precious feelings are better with Titman above Drink.

Kirby should be 14th. He's probably the worst coach in SEC history. Even though Mullen has never beaten Kirby, or won the conference, or even his division for that matter, he's still a much better coach. I'm sure by now Mullen has his players and will now beat Kirby and win the East every year for the foreseeable future.

Id love to see someone try to math out a composite ranking by categorizing performance between a few categories, Im thinking recruiting, talent development, scouting/game-planning, in-game/play calling, and organizational management would be my big 5.
id shoot out my own subjective but tbh I cant be bothered to research any of the dopes under Kiffin. Im not sold Kiffin is a good headcoach type but at least he's interesting.

We're all clueless, anonymous douches on the internet, and that's what makes this site great. Doesn't negate from the fact that Kirby will never win a NC, has an antiquated offense that he refuses to change, and rode with Jake Fromm over Justin Fields.
Happy MLK Day.

We dont really know that starting Fromm over Fields is the wrong decision. Its entirely possible Fromm is better at his shitty offense than Fields is.

No, but there's a very real chance Coach Kirby Smart might be considering his numbers and analysis pointed to Fromm over Fields
Posted on 1/20/20 at 2:55 pm to Tunica
Well, if you paid attention you would know Kirby is chaining the antiquated offense. He hired Todd Monken who runs the air raid and has had a lot of success at the college level.

Who else didn't know or care who Mizzou's coach was prior to this list?

This is a good point. Funny that the 3 guys you listed all seem to get the most out of the players that they have on the roster. That, imo, is a huge benchmark of a successful coach. I think you can put Kiffin in that category as well. He has an innate ability to get kids to buy into what he's selling.
