Schwartz tells Marcello that he is still mulling over which career to take, but his decision is dependent on how Schwartz’s 2nd track season at Auburn goes..
Schwartz says if he runs like last year he will stick to football.
But if he runs well enough to make an Olympic team, he plans to stick with track. He wants to get his run times down, so I hope he is successful.
Olympic qualifications run through June 29th.
He begins his track season at Auburn in February and once again he’s not expected to participate in spring practice.

He really needs to make a decision. You could argue his injuries are a result of not training for football. Two totally different physical demands on the body.

He was one of the few players for Auburn today that did ok. Seth couldn't get open and appeared frustrated.

I agree. He is probably overdoing it. Even in track last year he missed time with quad or hammy injury. Today he was 80% on the hammy injury that occurred during the Bama game. There was also the wrist injury....
He’s not going to be getting any better in any sport if he is constantly doing rehab.

Seth is good but I’m really not a fan of his attitude and body language most of the time

I was disappointed Gus did not pull him atleast for a series after his hissy fit today.
He has been that way all year but the last two games, he has really showed some major immaturity.

Willliams acts like he just doesn't like to be touched. Teams know how to mess w him mentally. He will cost us at some time this season if he doesn't mature mentally.

Seth Williams is at best an average WR2. People can give Nix a deservedly hard time but the reality is our WRs are pretty terrible also and don’t help him out at all. The routes are good and they just are not playmakers. For every good play SW made this year he had multiple really bad drops that would have been just as huge.
Schwartz is fast but he’s not a good SEC WR at this point.
Watching teams like Oklahoma, LSU, Bama, etc. slinging it around and how their WRs and multiple of them make plays shows you how far back Auburn Wrs are. We like them because they are our own but they just aren’t very good.

Every thing about Auburn's offense is lacking...Gus is in total control of the offense with this staff.

If Schwartz wants to commit to football only, he needs to gain 10-15 pounds.

We tried to get a solid WR1. He bolted for Georgia last minute and disappointingly playing as good as I thought he would be as a TF. We would have one or two more wins with Pickens.
I think y’all are hating on Seth Williams too much though. He’s actually a real receiver running real routes and had a productive year. If he caught extended handoffs all game, I bet y’all would love him.

By this standard, guys like Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Steve Smith and others would be questionable WR1 in many seasons.
Set Williams is a jump ball winning matchup problem you can't afford to put in single coverage. That is a WR1
The problem is we have no WR2 / Slot WR we trust enough to take advantage of the attention our WR1 draws

He's the ONLY reliable receiver. ONLY one.

Oklahoma has 1 good receiver. He's just a stud.
LSU's receivers lead the NCAA in drops last season. Burrow's numbers were damn near identical to Nix' numbers this season.
One season changes a lot of things.

Nah, this is dumb. Outside of Bama, LSU, and UGA he is a #1 WR on every other team in the SEC. Im basing that on just physical attributes and on field production. His attitude is really holding him back and I wouldn't be surprised if his antics cost us a game in the future. That is if he can keep his shenanigans under wraps to finish his career at Auburn. Gus has shown that he has no problem telling a #1 WR to kick rocks. See: Duke and Kyle Davis. I don't understand how Bama, LSU, and Clemson can get elite WRs and none of them show any kind of attitude problems. However, Auburn lands elite WRs (Duke, KD, Seth, NCM) and they can't stay out of trouble off the field, much less finish out their career at Auburn. It really is mind boggling.

He didn't get hit late either time.
His poor effort on plays has been called out on more than one occasion this season.
Like I said, big time talent but needs to get mentally tougher.

Bc they have no respect for kodi/gus, who haven't shown an ability to develop them into professionals
Seth cannot high point well. He also loafs on many plays

I remember reading somewhere that on plays without option routes etc that the receivers would not go as hard in an effort to keep energy and fight fatigue. It may have been something I read here though LOL.
Imagine if all receivers went hard all the time....multiple reads may be open....of course, usually there are we just dont progress through them because the QB is running for his life.
