Oh, this shite again. I DGAS. Bama went undefeated in ‘25, ‘26, ‘30, and ‘34 and were named national champions by multiple sources of the day. But hell, drop all of those, count only from ’61 and Bama still has THREE TIMES the national championships as LSU and SIX TIMES the number as UGA. No matter the criteria, you’re gonna lose this argument. It’s not even close.

bullshite. No one ever claims Yale, Harvard, or Princeton as "blue bloods".
I said built the sport, not the first to play it.
Happened mostly over the 50's, 60's and 70's. Those were the eras where college football became more and more popular.

Yeah, I dropped four NCs and made it even HARDER for Bama to come out ahead in this discussion. LSU and UGA will still likely never catch up. You’re not very good at this.

Alabama and Tennessee are the only two true bluebloods in the SEC.

How many are only recognized by Gumps or some vague outdated syndicated sporting organization?

Blueblood typically requires a lot of historical success, and unfortunately college football began in 1998.
1998–2007: LSU wins two titles. Georgia wins zero and has zero title appearances. LSU wins three SEC titles in four appearances to Georgia’s two in three appearances.
2008–2017: Neither program wins a title, both appear in the title game. Georgia and LSU each win the SEC once. LSU makes the championship game once compared to Georgia twice.
2018–present: Georgia has two SEC championship game appearances, zero SEC titles, zero title game appearances and zero titles. LSU has one of each of those.
The series is split 6–6 between the teams since 1998.
Overall it’s very clear LSU is the superior program. 3 titles in 21 years of modern football is blueblood caliber

Well not every program thinks that finishing 3rd in the SEC and 20th in the AP is national title worthy.

I think he's on to something. After all modern college football began with the BCS era, when the best two teams actually played each other.

I mean, that certainly make UF look better. It's way too small of a window though.

Damn you folks are gluttons for punishment. Forget the ones Bryant won and just count from ‘92 to now. That’s six. That’s still four more than UGA and two more than LSU.
What the hell, forget the beat down of No. 1 Miami in ‘92. Just count Saban’s five in the last 10 years. You still want to do this? You suck at this too.

LSU is the second best program in the country when all things considered.

Dude if we claimed every title any poll has ever given like Bama we would be
at like 7 or 8 I’m sure.

This is the Alabama insecurity we've been looking for.
No one is trying to say that LSU is better than, or even at least as good as Alabama, the question is does LSU or UGA qualify as a "blue blood" program. Under your criteria, no one besides Alabama can be a blue blood.
But in terms of titles, LSU could claim 1908, 1935 and 1936, but we're not like Bama. Historically, LSU is considered a top 10 team. Is the top 8-10% all-time program a good enough criterion for blue blood status? Some might reasonably consider it so. But others may arbitrarily make the cut-off at the top 6 or 8 teams.
Yeah, the top 8 team is definitely a blue blood - that 9th team? Certainly not. Right?

Sorry bro,
Your boy Atcheson went out and said it.
You claimed those titles in the media guide “to make Alabama look better”. It’s a sad look.
You just wanted to keep up with Notre dame, having no clue they would suck, and you would go on a phenomenal run.
Now, no one knows what you have due to an inferiority complex.
Sad!

8.
To be fair, Alabama doesn't claim every year listed in the records book. They don't claim 1945, 1966, 1975, 1977, and 2016.
