That long since lapsed on 10 days is required, they could have hired a new coach by the LSU game.

I realize that. I'm talking about Ole Miss how can they close it in 7ish days and we have had 21+.

You know the stuff that really matters.
It may get him better results than you would anticipate. It's been shown through research that humans in large numbers, bouncing arguments back and forth among themselves, will consistently produce better outcomes than any expert you would ever pay to do the work individually. What happens is essentially a series of compromises on everyone's position until the group comes up with a position that is most equitable to all involved.
It's called the 21st century. Get used to computers and crowd sourcing ideas. They are being used to rebuild civilization.

Because they made a decision and went with it. HY couldn't decide what he wanted to do.

Dale's position here, one that doesn't consider what the fan base wants, is a big part of the problem our program faces. You see, the GOBN type hires do not consider an option that is equitable to all involved. These types of people operate on the "it's not what you know, it's who you know" principle and it's fricking stupid. It's the big reason our program is a national fricking joke right now.

That may be true but it still took a leader like Steve Jobs to say put all my songs in this.
Need a leader to give directions. We don't have that.

Civilization doesn’t need rebuilt, unless there has been some catastrophe I’m not aware of, and all we needed was a competent coach, regardless. The number of cooks in the stew is undoubtedly why we don’t have a good coach recruiting for us right now.

They are worth billions of dollars, but you know more about running enterprises than they do.
Ok.
Ok.

No, I do not personally know better than Jerry Jones.
You missed the entire fricking point.
Collectively, you bet your arse, we do know better than Jerry Jones. And I'm pretty sure research will bear that out. Maybe later I'll dig it up.

Jerry Jones doesn't run this run this program. He has a seat at the table with men who have invested just as much if it more than him into the University.

Dale, I'm explaining to you why Yurachek bounces names off social media. Try and keep up.

This thread doesn't even have anything to do with the alleged underwhelming hire that is Butch Davis anymore

He does it because he wants everyone to be happy, meanwhile he's pissing off the people who's opinions actually matter.
Former coaches, respected former players, the money have all told him exactly the same thing as to what the program needs to be successful, he has chosen to ignore and fight them every step of the way. An arrogance equal to Jeff Long.

He got us a damn good basketball coach this way, Dale. He needs to be allowed to do his fricking job.

What you think doesn't factor into it. It simply is.

Why listen to a bunch of guys who obviously haven't gotten it right in multiple tries?

What I think? Whatever. Civilization hasn’t collapsed. We just don’t have a fricking coach, and now the chances of getting a competent one are slim, and none.

You mean guys who have won NCs, Superbowls, the SWC, SEC west, doak Walker and other individual honors?
Sounds like a group that knows nothing about Arkansas or football, your right.

And all that has gotten us where? Played by Gus, hired Chad Morris and missing out on promising canidates this search

He can't see the point. His brain doesn't operate that way. He's a yes man.
