Has anyone else reached the point where they just don't care who gets hired?

My level of apathy for the football program has finally hit that point. If we get some exciting name, great. If not, we have a top 5 recruiting class coming in for basketball and our baseball program has established itself as a national power. Sucking at one sport in the fall doesn't really bother me much now.
I just can't bring myself to get myself all worked up over a coaching search. Even moreso when it continues to be the same people making the same mistakes. ADs have come and gone. The only constant is the BoT/GoBN. Until the constant politicking and posturing stops on the Hill, we won't have a productive search and the football program will continue to suffer for it. Until then, I'm good with enjoying the winning in everything else.
tl;dr: Let the rich children on the Hill fight over who gets their way and laugh at them as it all comes crashing down. Enjoy the success of the programs they don't have their grubby paws all over.

Yes, I quit giving a shite shortly after fat Bert was hired. Never liked him. Then after Toledo and TT, I realized he was shite and only going to get shittier. Couldn't have cared less when Morris was hired. Haven't watched a game in two years unless I had nothing better to do and nothing else was on. I honestly, at this point, don't give shite if we field a team or not. Which as a former donor and season ticket holder is actually a big deal. Football season was my time. Win or lose, we at least felt like we had a chance in most every game. No cookouts, no get togethers...nothing for 4-5 years now. What was a weekend ritual for most everyone I know, Razorback football has become a distant after thought.

I hope they hire someone good and this is a fun process to follow, but like you guys, I don't care much about the football program at this point. It's been managed by people who are wholly incompetent. These people can't get out of their own way. They're like imbeciles.

After the Toledo loss, on the field we should have fire Bert and offered Matt Campbell Bert's pay.

This must be how our fathers felt in the early 90s

I refuse to melt until someone is named. But, yeah if it’s BLJ I’m not wasting any more money on football

The early 90s had a national powerhouse in basketball...that's the only razorbacks my household watched back then

BLJ is the final bullet in my fandom.
It’s already bloody and beaten but there is still hope to save it. If he comes I’ll watch baseball and basketball but that’s it. I only watched 2 or 3 games this year anyways.

Me, I’m surprised if we don’t screw this up at this point

All the people who lauded Jeff Long for his decisions with Petrino and Bert are the reason we’ve been a shite-show for years.
All the people who have listed reasons ad nauseum we don’t/can’t/won’t.
Losers.
I hope they’re (you’re) fricking happy now.

Jeff Long did some damage, y'all. It seems to me he saddled the department with a whole lot of debt. The people who promise to secure that debt are gonna get their way in all of this and there's little that can be done to avoid that.
And, if history is an indicator, these people are gonna frick shite up.
This can be avoided with the proper hire, but I honestly don't have a tremendous amount of faith we will get the hire correct. Not if these "money men" are involved. Too many competing interests and egos.
I'll tell ya something. Hunter Yurachek is earning his pay right now. I do not envy him.

Would be a bad sign on the state of the program, but he's a good guy and it wouldn't be his fault. I'd support BLJ. If we're gonna make it a shitty hire, lets give the money to a lifetime Razorback.

I wouldn't envy Barry Lunney in this situation either.
He will be soundly rejected by the fan base and he won't deserve the criticism headed his way. He is all Hog and a good person. But he'll get it anyways.

Yep, from 90 until Nutt came in 98 and started 8-0 we all just rolled with Nolan.
Was just thinking about apathy...I haven’t been to one Razorback game since Bob hit the ditch. Cotton Bowl against KSU was my last.

I wouldn’t go either until it’s blatantly clear the people in control of the football program show they care about competing to win.
Would.
Not.
fricking.
Go.

fricking.
Go.
