You’ve obviously never been to Jordan Hare. Auburn is regularly sighted as being one of the nicest fan bases out there. If you were being treated poorly then you were probably being an arse yourself. LSU is routinely sighted as the worst game host in the whole country. Cajuns getting drunk all day and then acting a fool that night is routine. Bama fans are nicer to Auburn fans than LSU.

Completely agree. I’ve never had a bad experience anywhere. If someone talks crap after we lose a game, I’ll generally make a joke back and the person tends to lighten up. It really just isn’t that big of a deal.

All fan bases have some pretty bad fans while at the stadium, but I got all y'all beat here.

I have LSU alums for family, and they are BIG time LSU (some played for LSU, some were team doctors and dentists.) They drove to the game.

After the game (LSU was unbeaten and was in consideration for the NC game, Alabama had lost a few games) when Alabama won, they refused to let me ride back home. I just sat down and looked at them until I shamed them in letting me back in the car (took about 15 minutes, and I never said a word)

I still laugh at that to this day.

any fan base can be bad. there's typically better fans than bad fans.

auburn fans are obsessed with corn dogs and throwing them at lsu fans. it's pretty weird for a made up meme from 15 years ago.

LSU fans can be bad and will typically fight each other especially with so much booze at tailgates.

ole miss fans on game day are pretty mild.

florida... well, I'll never go back to florida. one experience was enough. the campus police are by far the worst in the SEC. blatantly zeroing in on opposing fans and giving them a hard time while ignoring florida fans doing the same stuff. it's just a bad game day experience all around really.

I haven’t been to half of them but I’ve never had an issue.

However, on the flip, I really wanted to smack a Bama fan at the last game in Fayetteville we actually had a snowballs chance in hell at winning. Petrino was coaching, Mallet qb etc. She was with her boyfriend, a hog fan, about two rows down from me. She whined all game, literally had that whiny girls voice with the ‘stahhhhhp’ and pouted loudly when he was messing with her during the game and I mean she was a LOUD whiner. All game, I had to listen to that and then she started laughing loud at the end when it was over. Thank goodness I had my nephews with me or I may have dove and tackled her right then a la that Bama women from a few years back. I hope her bf dumped her arse and she’s still not over him.

No one should ever treat opposing fans poorly, ever. they are visitors from out of town and we should treat them like we would want to be treated when we are on the road.

Nothing wrong with good natured ribbing, but some of the horror stories you hear should not be tolerated by anyone.

I gotta say, my lone experience at Death Valley for a UF-LSU game was pretty tame. I was expecting far worse but I had a great time. Of course, I'm also not a jackass so that probably helped.

The answer to this and the entire thread is that this is the sec. you’re not going to find unsafe or extremely rude environments inside the stadium.....sans individual pockets.

When Oklahoma admins write to the newspapers that the Alabama fans were as classy as could be (granted, a long time ago) you’ve got a positive reputation situation.

Of all the places, Hawaiians truly hate mainlanders and it shows in the local business, radio and yes, inside their stadium. It gets borderline bizarre in there with the amount of intolerance they have for anyone not Hawaiian.

ETA. As for the LSU situation. LSU prolly didn’t invent good natured ribbing, but damn near perfected it.

I am not sure where all these people are tailgating or sitting in the stadium but I am a season ticket holder and at every home game and most away games and I have never seen any of the crap y’all say happens to you. Next time you are down for a game come to touchdown village and you will get treated right

South Carolina were surprisingly the worst for me. Had numerous encounters with assholery walking out of the stadium. Tennessee had surprisingly really, really friendly fans. Complete 180 of posters on here.

I've been to every stadium in the league outside of A&M, Missouri and Kentucky and I've literally only had 1 "bad" incident in probably.........25 road games? I got tiger baited in Baton Rouge, but laughed and said Roll Tide back and got invited in for food and drink at every one. That's part of the road game experience.

And like others, I can't remember any in Tuscaloosa over the last 20 years outside of a few drunks being a bit loud.

If you respond with a smile then generally nothing happens unless you are at a bar or acting like an arse.

Never had any problems on any SEC campus. We've always been treated great as visitors.

The crappy experiences are going into places like Memphis or the Dome and getting shite-talked by the locals, who never seem to be actually in the game or around after the game

1a. Clemson
1b. Georgia

I expect to be treated poorly at Clemson because our fans treat them the same way, but was surprised at how bad UGA fans were. Their fans were horrendous.

I've heard WVU fans are epically bad. I can only comment on personal experience.

I know a GT guy who played in the band, and he swears that when WVU played GT in the Gator Bowl back in 2007, a WVU fan took a dump in the GT band seating area while they were playing on the field during the halftime show.
