Exercise (alone) rarely worked for me. Started doing the Keto diet about a year ago & lost 50 lbs in about 6 months & have maintained from there. Could stand to lose another 10-15 but am confident enough now to go shirtless to the pool.

Congrats!

I can relate to that feeling when you finally get down to around the goal you set out to get to or even push beyond. I never thought I could be where I'm at in my mid 40s.

Man that is great TL, fantastic achievement!

I think anyone who is in a bad place right now, the best advice is to just get started exercising and make it a daily thing and build on it, but do not miss a single day. And it can start with a a walk around the block. Choose whatever diet they want, but limit the sugars which also mean starchy carbs. Get lots of veggies. Never enough veggies. I like the high fat moderate protein or higher protein moderate fat but it also depends on your body and what kind of exercise you are doing.

And don't overdo it on the first day/week or you will not be able to get out of bed and keep going.

And let me add, quit fricking drinking. When you are working to get yourself in shape, cut out the booze while you are cutting weight. You won't miss it. Get a hobby. Join a chess club, start side business, anything.
