It's just dumb. Again, Alabama has finished ahead of Auburn in the Director's Cup for 11 of the last 12 years. The Director's Cup is literally the standings of "good at all the sports".

I dont care for the argument, but take away football and where does Bama stand in the directors cup? that would prove the point being made by either side

Well the folks at Stanford buying it every year sucks a bit, but OK.
As for the SEC, at last look UK was next behind Florida.
