Terry Bowden Becomes a Grad Assistant a Clemson
He's actually in school to get his masters degree.
The only reason I'm posting this here is because Bowden was Auburn's HC and I was curious to what they think. Did you guys like Bowden while he was HC?

Tot has to be 60+ years old. Wonder what degree he is pursuing? He already has a master's degree.

Lead them to an undefeated season while on probation. I never understood why he never got another legit shot. Then again I was too young to know what all went down.

From what I understand, he was a good game day coach but an awful recruiter. Terry Bowden's gameday coaching plus Pat Dye's players worked well his first few years, but the bottom fell out when all those guys left.

This pic was taken at the Flora-Bama while he was coaching at Auburn. I couldn’t stand the guy. He was an arrogant jackass around town. He was also a damn coward for bolting.
He had Stephen Davis ...who was a Heisman front runner and wasted him. He was interviewed before a bowl game and something to the effect of “We play a finesse offense now. He will have a great NFL career and that’ll mean more than some articles written about him and a $200 trophy.” He completely wasted the guy’s talents and instead wanted mini-scat backs like Demontray Carter. His Red Lobster recruiting dinners were a joke and disaster, etc., etc., etc. He never got another offer because he was a complete and total disaster.

Dam the Bowden dynasty has lost it's luster. Remember reading about "Camp Bowden" in the AJC. Had diddy at FSU-mid dynasty; Terry at AU and Tommy at Clemson. That was really impressive....but a bit of fools gold I suppose

Rumor at the time was that he was having an affair with some BOT member's wife and forced to resign. The 1-5 record just made it convenient.
Not sure how true that was.
Bowden leaving fricked up the 1999 scheduled F$U game which would have been Auburn's first meeting against Free Shoes after they joined the ACC. Those 1980s Auburn/Florida State games were fun to watch.

He was fricking Bobby Lowder’s daughter. I’ve been told that from many different people who have no connection to one another.
