I’ve seen this photo posted a few times today:
Would one of y’all explain what the item is that they’re holding?
I hadn’t seen it before and figured there must be a story of significance attached to it, since it was displayed during a big press conference.
Thanks!

Something that hangs above to exit from the locker room to the field in Tiger Stadium. Used to be a crossbar from the stadium

It's a part of the crossbar from Tiger Stadium from 1955-1984. It hangs in the tunnel just as the team exits onto the field:

The crossbar from the goalposts which stood in the north end zone of Tiger Stadium from 1955 through 1984 is now mounted above the door which leads from LSU's locker room onto the playing field. The crossbar is painted with the word "WIN!", and superstition dictates every player entering the field touch the bar on his way out the door.

My best friend had a WIN bar above the doors he and his bride walked through to exit their wedding reception.
I might have cried a little.

That sounds like something you’d see at an Aggie wedding.
I can relate.

Well, they played STTDB at the last wedding I went to. I admit I thoroughly enjoyed it and laughed, but I would have never allowed such a thing at my own wedding.

Seems a little Butch Jonesy to me.

Is it really any different from this?

Most teams have some sort of insignia like this that's hung in the tunnel before they enter the stadium

Tom Petty was the wedding singer.
