You are correct it does show that but the numbers for some schools are virtually the same for alum to fan ratios. Virtually every SEC school, yes including Vandy, has at the most 7% alumni as a percentage of their fanbase. People have no clue how small the number of alumni there are.

It's not even debatable that they have more. Almost all 4.66 million Louisianans are LSU fans. LSU has 250k living alumni, and most of them moved out of state anyway.
Alabama has 4.88 million people, and at least 30-35% of them are Auburn fans.

Maybe, just maybe.... it’s because Alabama has two sec schools and Louisiana has one. I know, critical thinking skills tend to lack for offspring of the inbreds (Alabama allows cousins to marry and Louisiana doesn’t), so I don’t hold it against you. You’re trying so hard.

Yeah, but his rationale that LSU had more sidewalk fans than Alabama was because the state of Alabama had 35% Auburn fans while LSU had a much larger percentage. Does he not realize that auburn also plays in the sec?

My rationale is simple fact. The LSU fanbase has more sidewalk fans than any other in the SEC, and it's not close.
