Kira will be back. He wanted some practice time with CNO before he decided for sure. But, he's not going to go sit out a year when he could be a star in a fun system with a coach that players love.

Another PG we should look at is South Dakota State PG David Jenkins Jr. Averaged 20ppg and shot 45% from 3 this year.

Someone on the FB basketball board said Kira will announce he's coming back today and that Watford will be coming to Bama. Take it with a grain of salt as always, but encouraging news still.

Note: Watford not announcing today he's committing. Just that his source told him Watford will commit sometime this month.

Not saying this guy is full of shite, but now he's said Kira will announce in a few days he's returning.

frick people who claim they're insiders.

I agree Kira will be back but...if he did leave he could very easily get a waiver because Avery got fired and be immediately eligible.

Thats another/worse Avery Johnson hire. But at least Avery had a prominent role on TV and had coached in the NBA Playoffs/Finals.

Will be interesting to see if OatzNhoez goes after some gamble recruits

Tommy Murr up in N AL is just a walking bucket machine but is undersized + limited athleticism

Kids like that seem to be the ones who we hear about as grad transfers who average 20+ in P5 as seniors after dominating the SunBelt

That is a proposed rule change that has not been passed at this point.

Gene I know Bama gets a lot of shite for FOG but Auburn has them too. Went out for my Bday last night and My sisters boyfriend tried to talk shite about Auburn basketball(he never mentioned it before last year) so I simply asked him if he Was a fan of KJ Harrell and Cinmeon Bowers when they played and his legit response was....."I dont know players that played in the 80's"

With some/many people thinking hiring Bucky would help with getting Watford, does anyone know how much Watford even likes Bucky?

Tide hoops signee believes in Oats (BOL-VIP)

Jaden Shackelford: "I believe in Coach Oats and what he can do to help not only me, but our team succeed and get better every day. I am still 100% committed to Bama! ROLL TIDE!”

“We’ve got some really good athletes,” Oats said. “We’ve got to do a lot of work on their skill development because we’re going to play basically four out, one in and we played even a lot of five out. Our centers could shoot three back there, so we’ve got a lot of work cut out if we’re going to get to that level on some of them. I think we’re going to start with the four out.

“Kira Lewis -- really, really talented at a high level. I think he’s perfect. I just went through an hour of video with him this morning before class … of just how he would fit in our system. We open the floor up, we give you a lot of space, we get downhill, we set a lot of pick-and-roll stuff real similar to spread stuff in the NBA. The floor’s going to be open for him to make plays, so we’ve got to put shooting around him.

“(John) Petty’s a great shooter. We’ve got to get him a little bit better going off the dribble. Think Herb (Jones) is unbelievable coming downhill at the rim, but he didn’t have a lot of space like we play with. He’s going to be great with that. We’ve got to develop his shooting. Petty’s got to get a little bit better handle on it, Herb’s got to get better shooting it. We want guys that can pass, shoot and handle at all positions on the perimeter.”

Have heard nothing but crazy good things about him with the Grizzlies, especially from the younger players but that is a hell of a risky hire.

Bucky started private lessons Trendon when he was 5 years old and Bucky was in college. The family moved to MB to play for him.
