But yeah, listening to several games a year on the radio kind of sucked

You probably have similar tales living out of market from your team, but I vividly remember calling a 900 number multiple times and listening to Eli Gold over the house phone call games because PPV wasn't available in Tennessee and there wasn't another option.

I listened to the glorious Louisiana Tech loss in 1999 on speaker phone in my dad's office.

Still remember how excited we all were for ESPN2 because it meant 1-2 more games on TV a year.

I could pick up the night games on 870 AM from Memphis, but we went to most the SEC and bigger home games back then so I didn't have to do it that much for football, mainly just for the games like Idaho and the like. This was before you could even stream the radio feed online easily, so I would have to move around to different spots in my house throughout the game with my boom box

I remember when my parents got PrimeStar satellite TV.

My god, my mind was blown when I was able to watch 3 or 4 different games that were in the same time slot on TV. Wrote down the games and channel numbers on a piece of paper and flipped back and forth between plays/commercials. Would piss the old man off
