Help me out here.... I just don't see how the big name programs do far worst and get next to nothing. Hell wasn't KU involved in and FBI investigation recently? Last check they are still sanction free.
I know the world isn't fair... But damn.

They don't admit anything.
Missouri goes out of their way to go 'hey, we bad'

The NCAA has no credibility whatsoever. The only thing we have going for us is that the national media is 100% in our corner.
Looks like KB will stay also.

This was horseshite. After slapping a few programs on the wrist for far worse violations the NCAA decided it needed to make an example of someone is my guess.
They put the weenie to you.

The ncaa's vice president of enforcement is a fricking Kansas grad.

I fully expect Harvey Weinstein to be the next ncaa president at this point.
1. One school has fake classes, admits it in their initial findings then the ncaa said they made a typo. Then goes on to lie about it.
2. Other school finds stuff against their standards, reports it, self-inflicts penalties and gets the hammer.
3. Anything happened to MSU or the adidas schools yet? Will anything happen? No.

Sterk “We expect to win the appeal”

Previous ADs would certainly have rolled over like a gutted fish.
But as a UNC fan as well.... yea. I feel the hypocrisy. Truth is, while I think much of that was overplayed (non-athlete students were taking the classes as well) the NCAA usually defers to true blue blood big name money makers if you’re good at BB or FB.
Not sure why Mizzou is getting rolled because of a pathological liar.

It is. Once again, a SJW fricks things up for us.
I find this take interesting. Blame the so called SJW but not the dumb arse players that had someone else taking their tests for them so they could pass. Just shaking my head.
I try to picture if it was my kid having someone take his tests. I find out and I tell him he hasn't done anything wrong.

I honestly don’t think the appeal will be successful. We admitted to level 1 violations. These are the penalties. Now, who knows with the NCAA but it seems pretty cut and dry.
In reality, we fricked this up. Should have lawyered up from the start. Not cooperated with anything, and made no comments or handed over any documentation to the NCAA whatsoever.
Another case where we simply can’t get out of our own way.
This is what has ALWAYS frustrated me the most with Mizzou. We refuse to "play the game" the way most schools do. We always play everything by the book and follow all the rules, and where does that get us? Even in the instance "we" don't follow the rules, we immediately sacrifice ourselves by committing virtual seppuku (cooperating with the NCAA).
Mizzou has absolutely ZERO "street smarts" when it comes to anything.

From reading all the posts, I feel I'm missing part of the story and will admit, I haven't read any news accounts about it yet.
We did have players that had a tutor take tests for them, right?
That is against not just NCAA rules but I'm sure not permitted in general at Mizzou, right?
So, while the school and athletic department might not have had actual knowledge that all this cheating was going on, they did confirm themselves that it was going on?
From some of the comments, it seems that the belief is that nothing wrong was done. Maybe I'm misreading the posts or missing something.
If the upset is about the level of punishment in relation to punishments handed out to other schools, then I get it. But some of the posts make it seem like nothing wrong went down.

I haven’t seen anyone say we didn’t do anything wrong. Although, I’d imagine this happens everywhere.
I think the point is, school officials didn’t know this was going on. When they found out, they reported it and fully cooperated with the investigation and we still got absolutely hammered.

Why? Nobody has argued what she claims didn't happen. The argument is that we had no control over it and we are being overly punished for something we didn't know about.
Not to mention her credibility is almost zero when you dig into her past.
Posted on 1/31/19 at 8:11 pm to momentoftruth87
Why?
The NCAA knows all of this already. Mizzou doesn’t deny it happened. The investigation is already concluded. It’s literally meaningless except for her further burying herself.

Problem being that this type of stuff goes on at EVERY school high school and college in the country. This chick had it out for MIzzou and clearly has some issues of her own. It’s just so so absurd the punishment for what happened. If you think tutors aren’t helping with online classes at every school in America get real. It’s not an athletic problem either. Although I’m sure athletes take advantage of it more than others. It’s also the fact that this happened 4 years ago. Great timing, while the Top 25 in basketball should all be ineligible. It’s a joke, sorry that’s tough for u to see.

Ok. I was probably reading it wrong.

She's a nutcase.
She turned herself in along with the University, then started a GoFundMe account crying for money because her turning herself in ruined her life. Absolutely sick individual.
