Surprised Patterson had to have a lawyer. He should have got the waiver easily.

Whatever, I think the lesson learned is dont bring in two high profile guys in back to back years.

I don't think that's the lesson at all. QBs can flame out too easily to go after a "diamond in the rough" type of player every other year. That style of recruiting is how you end up with a grad transfer from Virginia starting for a year.

Also: character counts. Avoid anyone who evens gives a whiff that they might try to hold your program hostage.
