If Kentucky heavily invests in their program, the B1G is gonna shite their clothes. Playing in the SEC is a big draw and that part of the country is beautiful.

EDIT: and of course Kentucky is cheating, lol. The only school in the SEC not cheating is Vanderbilt and you see where that has gotten them.
IDK man.
Check out their most recent basketball class.
Maybe they decided to say frick football and move to that sport.

quote:We actually have. Mostly made possible by Mark Stoops going after the big basketball donors. In 2016 we built a 45 million dollar football training complex that Florida is actually using a model for their next one. We did a mostly cosmetic refurbish of Commonwealth Stadium in 2015, adding a recruiting room and more luxury boxes (it actually reduced seating capacity) and they're adding more minor improvements for 2018-2019 with chair backs etc. Not quite Tennessee empty the coffers level of spending but its up there on a lot of other programs around the country.

Louisville fan calling out another school for cheating?
Now that is a classic.

We've always recruited players from North of us, we were just competing with Akron, Miami(OH), Ball State, Toledo, etc. for players.

Kentucky has tried and failed to recruit in Ohio prior to Stoops, but didn't have the connections. In the 70s and 80s they worked Ohio and Pennsylvania effectively.

Other programs in the B1G? Yes. They’re missing out on Ohio kids. Kentucky will always have a nearly impossible time getting Ohio kids that Ohio State wants. Penn State is getting in to New Jersey and DelMarVA more like they used to so their presence in Ohio has diminished. Harbaugh inexplicably didn’t pay attention to Ohio nearly as much as he should have early on. That seems to be changing. Ohio has a lot of FBS talent so Kentucky has done a fantastic job of making inroads and Stoops deeply rooted Ohio ties certainly don’t hurt.

I would hate to be stuck in Lincoln Nebraska. Visited there one time and that was enough for me. I'd choose Kentucky based on the town itself.
No.

A Nebraska fan made a reference to UK getting busted for cheating under Hal Kimmie
Seriously, if we can't cheat better than Mumme and Bassett we deserve to get caught.

I was a big fan of Stoops when they hired him because of the Ohio connections. It sounded like a winning plan, and thus far, it has been.
As the article said
Its a big advantage

other than the occasional run at an elite five-star talent, it’s fairly rare for any other SEC school to work the Midwest. That was the edge. UK and UK alone was flying the league banner

quote:i understand the superficial reason for picking neb over ucf. but looking past that, i wouldn't have left for neb. ok, more money and for now, higher profile program with better fan support. that's it.
Nebraska is butthurt about being an irrelevant program. They are on the level or maybe a tier below Kentucky in modern day CFB. And Nebraska will never come back. The Big Ten move only hurt them.
I would hate to be stuck in Lincoln Nebraska. Visited there one time and that was enough for me
frost was already on the way to making ucf as good as any non-sec team. recruiting is 10x easier in florida. easier schedule. ucf is a huge school so the money is potentially there. and then the most obvious - living in orlando as opposed to lincoln freaking nebraska. no way i would have done that.
