You’re ridiculous.

He hasn't played as good since then, so if you want to label it fools gold, fine. But beyond some huge plays by Rogers, there are a lot of legitimately great throws, great reads, stepping up under pressure and throwing accurately downfield.
Interesting observation. I'm not a fan of Mond because he lack pocket presence, often holds onto the ball waaay too long, etc. You seem to really like him. Out of curiosity... Which of these teams in the SEC would be glad to switch their starter for Mond?
Arkansas
Auburn
Bama
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
LSU
Miss St
Missouri
Ole Miss
South Carolina
Tennessee
Vanderbilt
I put the OU at 4 because I said "glad to switch". In other words a clear upgrade.

I’m not pleased with how he’s played this year at all, but I would guess I’m not the biggest hater either. Part of me still holds hope another offseason in Jimbo’s system can help him out.
But anyways, it’s boring in the deerstand this morning so I wanted to take a shot at your question just because. (No scientific research done, I certainly didn’t google stats or anything).
Willing to switch:
Kentucky. Their qb sucks and can only run. Has not impressed against us or the other game or two I’ve watched of theirs.
Arkansas. Have seen the hogs post a lot of frustrations about their qb and my guess is Mond might do a bit better in Morris’s spread offense.
USCe? Weren’t they in danger of benching their starter against us if he did poorly (which of course he didn’t because our secondary knows how to make shitty QBs look like heisman winners).
Vandy or Mizzou? Haven’t watched any of their games this year to be honest.
That’s about all I got.

Ain't no way in hell Mizzou would prefer Mond over Drew Lock.

South Carolina, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt are all “No’s”. All those guys are statistically better with equal or worse supporting casts.

They’re statically similar. Mond has some edges and they have some. Mond has also faced a tougher schedule and asked to run a much more complicated offense.

I don't really like him, but I do give credit when it's due and Mond has had some good individual games, primarily at home. I too think he holds the ball too long and he's not accurate enough for my tastes.
But I think he's good enough to beat LSU Saturday, hope he does his part to help the team.

Ok has Mond really improved or has Jace made him look better?
Posted on 11/22/18 at 9:48 pm to Old Sarge
I think he's improved. Jace helps but every successful QB has help, with OL and receivers.
Mond was statistically the worst QB in the conference last year, and has jumped to middle of the pack this year.

That Kirk kid was a fairly decent target last year.
