i really like the "jalen" package, so far. but seriously, there are so many more options that can be built into it.

The Jalen package is AWESOME. This is coming from someone who hasn't been the biggest Hurts fan.

There are so many options out of this package. You could even use Jalen as a decoy. You could jet sweep it to jalen, and have him throw a wheel route, or carry it himself. It's like a triple RPO offense. It's insane

I agree...there are lot of things that I see that could come out of it. I mean it’s not a bad thing to have in the back pocket in case this or that ain’t working. I think it could open up some inside running game depending on what defense wants to respect the most after gettin burned on a deep route or a few first downs from the flats

Jalen is probably a matchup nightmare for a linebacker or safety. We’ve all seen him outrun them. I could see a double move where the safety bites on the short route because they’re so close to the line trying to stop a jet sweep or reverse pass. It really would be a thing of beauty to see Jalen catch one of those deep balls for a 75 yd score.

So far each time, the ball goes (or stays) to Jalen. So d's just have to focus on #2. Rush him, jam him, should be able to stop the play.

Unless he's used as a decoy...

Also just because Jalen's on the field doesn't mean the defense knows how he's going to be utilized.

The Jalen packages?

Honestly? I think it’s another head scratching attempt to keep a really bad football player involved in the game plan just because Saban probably has a real close relationship with him and likes him a lot.

It’s a business, and the best players should play.

- No, I don’t want him lined up at QB for any amount of snaps, because Tua is better.

- No, I don’t want him lined up at WR for any amount of snaps, because Jeudy, Ruggs, Waddle, Smith are better.

- No, I don’t want him lined up at RB for any amount of snaps, because Najee, Damien, Robinson, Jacobs are better.

I want his arse on the sidelines just like any other player who isn’t skillled enough to make the rotation.

DeLong just lost his punting job. But, we were 7-0 with DeLong as the starting punter. I don’t see Saban drawing up extra plays to keep DeLong involved somehow.

Hurts should be treated the same. You got jumped on the depth chart? Ok..well... there’s the bench over there...

I wish they would stop putting Tua in harms way.

Jalen can't be hurt. He's taken some vicious hits and bounced right up.

I'm okay with him icing games.Running the clock.

Jalen is much better than last season.Maybe it's Dan Enos.Maybe it's being around Tua.The Tua Effect.

I'm okay with Saban and Co. trying to get him involved. He's a pretty good Athlete.
