Kimbrel would be a surprise, but among other things, this team needs an ace, or at least someone that isn't a total embarrassment in a playoff series.

Exactly why I'm glad they didn't trade for Kluber. He's the AL version of Kershaw

Craig Kimbrel would be an awesome addition that would solidify the Braves leaky bullpen

I still feel like we need a #1 starter, but I'm not holding my breath.

How many true #1 starters are there in MLB? 6-7? How many of them are available through trade or free agency?

Does the current CBA have a no strike / no lock out clause? If so, then it would be very tricky for the players to strike this year (or before the CBA expires in 2021) without violating federal labor law.

Some of these players are whining too much. Muchado just signed the biggest deal in mlb history. Soon it will be brcye. The young stars are getting paid big time.
The older mid tier guys are demanding too much dough. I’ll use Kimbrell for example. He turned down a nearly $18 milllion qualifying offer from the Red Sox to test free agency. Then he puts it out there that he wants a 6 year deal. That is nuts for a closer, especially one who might be deteriorating already. Wade Davis got 3/52 last year. That is what Kimbrell should aim for. Not 6/100+

Wainwright is nuts. Yea dude want to strike? I’m sure fans will be very sympathetic to these millionaire athletes complaining about their pay. The MLB would take a huge hit and may never fully recover.

Yep. They would pull this stunt right as baseball is making a comeback.

Really bad news for the Braves

The Braves are thinking about giving Gwinnett 3rd baseman Austin Riley work in the outfield in Spring Training

I want Ender traded and move Ronnie to CF.

I think Ender has good trade value but they can't trade him right now considering how weak our corner outfield spots would be. Duvall and Markakis playing every day would make my stomach turn. If Riley turns out to be a viable option in a corner outfield spot, then all options are on the table with Ender

I don't think he's going to beat out Jenista in the OF.
It's very early, but they've got to get his Riley's strikeouts under control. He was 33% SO percentage with Gwinnett last year, and now he's struck 5 times in 2 games at Spring Training, 3 of which came today.
Jenista and Pache are looking really good. I'd love to see them incorporated some this year.
