That’s why it’s news that uga returns an experienced qb. To win the sec with a true freshman at qb was impressive.

2017-Stidham to the SECW
Ignore the fact that Locke and Shurmur had more yards per game and touchdowns (by a huge margin) than Stidham.
Hell... even Fromm had more TDs than Stidham.
Ignore the fact that Auburn had 34 rushing Touchdowns (3rd in conference and Auburn ironically finished the season... 3rd in conference).

Tua to the NC.
So, you are ignoring the entire game. Yes... you are ignoring the INT by Tua that almost allowed UGA to put the game away... right up until the freaky INT by Fromm that gave Bama the momentum that they road into overtime. You are ignoring the QB sacks which put both UGA and Bama way behind the chains in overtime.
Either there is a lot of ignoring for your theory. Or there is a lot of ignorance.
Backup U strikes again.

Damn you are stupid. Two Ints by the QBs. One QB overcame it, the other didn't. Bama had to throw the ball to get back in the game. Just because UGA choked it away doesn't mean the QB didn't have to deliver. Bama wouldn't have won the game running the ball. UGA lost the game in the end because they couldn't pass the ball and Bama stopped the run.

Maybe, but he lost two of the SECW Games when the game was placed on his shoulders. My point is he needs to prove he can win when they take away the run, which will be the gameplan for most teams next year against UGA.

It took a good QB to overcome Bama's talent to win the NC. If you can not see that then you are the biggest idiot UGA fan or just lying to yourself.
It took a great running QB to beat Bama in 2016. Watson had 165 rushing attempts on the season (almost the exact same number for Matthews at Auburn and Tebow at Florida).
But this isnt about the NCG or the ACC. The thread is about what wins in the SEC. And it always is the most dominant run game and dominant run defense.
You can't come up with a competent thought about the SEC so you are grasping for straws. Desperation.

Your schtick is old.
Let's do a ban bet.
Auburn wins the SEC because of their great QB and I leave the board forever. Hell... if the QB who wins the conference is the top for passing TDs (even if not Auburn), I will concede that you are right and I will call you the winner of the bet.
If not, you go.
Let's do this. Make it happen.

He was a damned freshman sorry he lost by 3 to Bama. Real indictment on his abilities as a player.
He's basically total garbage.

You can win games with a strong rushing game, but it will not take you to the next level. Last year is a good example, Bama could run the ball, but they would not have won the NC on Hurts arm (even with their talent). UGA lost two games to SECW teams when they took away the run game. LSU was as good as anyone running the ball.
They did not need a QB to carry them, they just needed a QB that wasn't flat out bad at passing the football. I never said you could win with bad QB play. Regardless, I disagree. This is still a running game and defense league. You can win some games not doing either well (see Ole Miss) but can you name the last team to win a national title or SEC title that didn't have a strong running game and defense? I named plenty who have done both with nothing better than average to above average QB play.

QBs prevented LSU, UF and A&M from contending
again, LSU has had flat out bad QB play. Same with Florida. No one has said you can win with bad QB play, although it has been done before. However, I have never seen a team win this conference with anything less than a good defense and good running game. And I'll go all the way back to the SECCG era's beginning. I can't think of a single one. Even Florida's fun and gun offenses were complimented by elite defenses and running backs like Fred Taylor.

That’s been the game plan against uga, so that’s not new for him or us. Most teams can’t do it well.
Also, wins and losses are team accomplishments.

Is that you coachcrisp ? Why would I want you to be banned, it is so much fun watching you implode.

Most teams in the SECE.

You don't believe the crap that you post on here.
Your hesitation with the ban bet is the first sign of common sense that you have shown in this thread.
Come on. Put some faith in your posts. Be a man.

Average ND and Tech sucked last year.

If that explains how UGA defines a "man", that would explain this photo:

Notre Dame was right with auburn in the rankings. Are you saying auburn was also average?
You seem to be avoiding the point by trashing our schedule, but since it shouldn’t be demonstrably more difficult this season, not sure what the purpose is.

As much as I hate it, this is true. Kirby and crew got to conservative trying to protect the lead and Bama capitalized on it. Chubb got completely shutdown in the NC, it cost us big time. There were fluke plays that if any of them wouldn't have happen them UGA would have won, however UGA shouldn't have took their foot off the gas and then those fluke plays wouldn't have mattered
