While I agree for the most part, any little off day will help with the schedule they have to play to end the season out.

Looking at the last month of the season we play the Phillies 7 times in our last 10 games. That final stretch is going to determine who goes to the playoffs. Don’t thing 2nd place gets the WC spot.

Remaining schedule:
Washington-7
NY-3
Philly-7
Miami-8
Colorado-4
Pittsburgh-6
St. Louis-3
San Fran-3
Arizona-4
Boston-4
Milwaukee-3
TB-2
Chicago-1

No, I know that they need the off day, I've just never seen the league reschedule a makeup into a double header when there was a mutual off day readily available. That's why I posed the question.

The reason I said that I hate off days is because I've been watching them damn near everyday so it feels like a part of me is missing when there is no game
