Moorhead will top Mullen’s highest ranked recruiting class in year 1.

He also has the benefit of the best class in MS receuiting history

Mullen would have likely finished well above #18 as well

Good question. I'm not sold on next year's Auburn team, although I believe y'all will have a potent defense. If State's coaching transition goes well, I believe that they'll be a sack of hell (barring mass injuries)...especially in Starkville...Y'all got a lot of holes to fill.
Fair enough - but at this point only RB is a major concern IMHO. We don't have a proven gamechanger at tailback coming in, but then again the guys who ran all over MSU in '16 (Kam Pettway) and '17 (Kerryon Johnson) weren't even established starters going into the game.

As for our OL, last year's squad was nothing special, and many will say we have upgraded our coaching at that position. So even if we don't improve, we should be good enough to handle a State defense that allowed us 511 yards and 6 TDs (five of which resulted from drives of 75 yards or more, including a 99-yarder). And they will be working with a new DC for the fifth (!) consecutive season.

In other words, I wouldn't be so quick to 'mark it down' if I were you

You did a lot of research to say "nuh uh!"

your jealousy and petulism are duly noted, however.

People are going all in on Moorehead without ever seeing him coach a game.

I’ve seen him coach many games. He had full control of the offense at Penn State. People are very hesistant to realize that all he has to do is come close to the production Mullen had on offense. Our defense, especially our D-line, will singlehandedly win us a lot of games this year.

The people who are all in on Moorhead are the ones who have actually seen him coach a game. The people who have to google to find out his name are the rednecks who are always glued to the SEC network to get happy/mad based on what Finebaum has to say that day.

Think I've seen this somewhere before..you know the whole fat guy who had alot of success in the Big 10 comes to the SEC. If I recall correctly it didn't go to well.

Bert was the O-coordinator at Wisky? No. Everyone knows Chryst was the reason Wisky was so good then.

Is Moorhead the O-coordinator at MSU?

Funny how no one knew him before he got hired at MSU (Most still dont even know who he is). Ive looked up quite a bit and Berts resume before coming to Arkansas is more impressive than Moorheads.

Even being a successful coordinator at Penn State means nothing when taking over ship at a SEC program.

Its a new season and the verdict is still out, just like it is for coach Morris.

Anybody buying that?

Yes

We have the most returning talent on our team that we have ever had. There is more all around talent than the Dak Prescot teams of 2014 and 2015

Which doesn't mean as much at face value when you have a new coaching staff.

Look at how much talent Houston Nutt had and only got 8-9 wins out of it. Good amount of people from the 2008 and 2009 squad went to the NFL.

Also you have no idea about how Fitz will do after his injury. His passing is suspect and no one really knows if he'll return to his pre-injury running until the season starts.

If they were loaded with 4 and 5*s they could overcome the coaching somewhat.

You realize that most of our starting Defense will be 4 or 5 star guys

Jeffery Simmons-DT 5*
Chauncey Rivers-DE 4*
Corey Thomas-DT 4*
Fletcher Adams DT/DE 4*
Gerri Green DE 4*
Leo Lewis LB- 4*
Willie Gay LB- 4*
Jonathan Abram S- 4*
Mark McLaurin S- 4*
Jamal Peters CB- 4*

Montez Sweat DE only a 3 but he is the returning sack leader in the SEC

Key showed vs Louisville that he is more than capable of being a starting QB in the SEC and can lead the team to a win the same way Ta'amu did for your guys.

His stats against us(a suspect SEC defense) wasn't very impressive.

13/27 195 yards 1/1

He racked up a good bit of rushing yards after we took a big lead and played back on defense.
