I would love to make a run in the final four and I love Bama basketball. I would never take away the blood, sweat and tears put in by our football team and staff to give it to another program even if I wanted to which I do not. I really like basketball. A lot. I really, really, really, really love Bama football. It is my passion outside of my family. I hope the basketball program wins their own championship some day but get real, it has it's place but that place is firmly behind the football program and always will be.

I'd rather the baseball team make a run to the CWS than basketball make the Final 4, so no. No way in hell would I trade a title in the #1 sport for a semifinal spot in another sport.

The real question needing asked here is why in the hell has an Athletic Department as profitable as UA's with such great branding allowed its second most profitable sport to be so damn mediocre for the last decade?

Seriously, though, fanbases who claim basketball greatness for losing in the final four are stupid. It doesn't matter much if you've never managed to win a single one. Terrible scenario in the OP.
I wouldn't trade a championship in ANY sport just for a final four, but I probably would for an equal championship in basketball.

Seriously though, a final four would do wonders for the basketball program. Another football title wouldn't do Jack. We'd still be a top 3 odds-on favorite to win the next 5 years (or at least until Saban retires) even if we didn't win the last one.
