I guess that's why several familiar names are popping back up for these staff positions. The process ain't for everybody.

From reading the Detroit News it seems Gattis was surprised by so many teams contacting him for the OC position and thats what made him decide to move on. Michigans offer was the icing on the cake and who can blame him for leaving for that.
But it does feel like he may have wanted out of here anyway.
