You have to give up any and all expectation of having a good kicker. When you've accepted every kick as inevitably being missed, it becomes much more bearable.

What's strange is Bulovas ended up being fairly good on field goals but missed more PATs than the rest of the conference combined.

I adapted this philosophy a few years back, and I have not regretted it. I also feel like our team adapted it also, knowing we was missing that game winner in the natty last year and was ready for OT before the kick.
It’s all part of Sabans genius plan.
