Would Saban have been doing his job if he didn't talk it up? This is the dumbest thing to be butthurt about. Is Saban just suppossed to be silent?

So I can argue with a redneck? No thanks.

Well, you obviously have a team in your thoughts since you definitely think Alabama didn’t deserve to get a spot. OSU, Washington, Auburn, UCF?

Look man, I like you. You're a good dude, but your take here is off.
Alabama proved on the field they deserved to be in. If you want to change the requirements on what it takes to get in, fine.
But to say Alabama didn't deserve it after confirming the committee's belief they were one of the best four teams is ludicrous.
ETA: And I'm not a redneck so we can have an intelligent conversation about it if you want.

Auburn? 4 loss Auburn?
We were down 4 starting linebackers and playing Jalen Hurts at qb. We were way better than a 3 loss (at the time) Auburn team by the time a couple of those guys healed up for the playoffs, and Saban finally got the bright idea (nearly too late) to play Tua.

Hey, the committee didn't have to listen & put Bama in, but they knew that Saban was right and Bama should be in.
And, Bama delivered... After a poor 1st half, Bama/Tua/Freshmen put on a show in the 2nd half & OT & won the Natty.

He's an excellent QB coach. He will have a great OL to block for his QB too.

I’m just wondering who he really thinks “deserved” to make it in since he obviously thinks Bama didn’t “deserve” to get a spot.
In the end, I think Bama damn sure proved they were one of the 4 best teams in the country. They proved the committee made the right choice.

TideSaint,
I appreciate your reply and since you asked kindly, I'll explain.
Alabama is the best team in the country, no doubt. National Champions, CFP Champions, best coach, best support staff and the best players. I could say, the most passionate fanbase. You guys don't like to lose and you don't lose very often.
I really don't have a team to throw out there. My point was that with how the playoff teams have been chosen, no one expected Alabama to get back in after the Iron Bowl. You'll have assholes who say they knew, or fans that are cocky that say they knew, but they sweated it too.
The committee picked the right teams, it was just unexpected and a new precedent. That is all I'm saying. Conferences get left out, but Alabama, those guys that "cheat" (not my words) "had their "God Coach" "suck up to the media" got in to the CFP.
I'm not wrong.

At Alabama, Enos will be in charge of the most fascinating quarterback room in college football for the 2018 season. The Crimson Tide have both former SEC Player of the Year Jalen Hurts and College Football Playoff Title game hero Tua Tagovailoa. At halftime of Alabama’s game against Georgia, Tagovailoa entered the game with the Tide trailing 13-0 and led a scintillating comeback in a 26-23 victory.
That quarterback competition will make Alabama’s QB room the most scrutinized position group in college football next season.

2016
1. Alabama (13-0)
2. Clemson (12-1)
3. Ohio State (11-1)
4. Washington (12-1)

Jalen Hurts is trash as a passer and the part about Enos having an excellent offensive line to block has to be a joke. Arkansas' offensive line was worse than a trainwreck his last couple of years as offensive coordinator

Okay a newer precedent set.
Not winner of SEC or SECW.
Loss at the end of the season.
**Most Important Precedent Set**
Alabama, a 2 loss, non conference or divisional champion, took their bad arse team and proved the committee right.

Enos will do well there. A couple of years as an associate and he will be back in the running for a decent HC job.

You mean the committee repeated the precedent they set in 2016?

You still here Phan? Isn’t this some kind of record for one of your alters?
