I would put Ole miss girls up there with the Oregon cheerleaders. Your neck would hurt after walking around campus. They have some beautiful girls

after the hammer has fallen and Ole Miss football in ruins, this joke isn't even funny anymore...but I bet you thought everyone on the rant would think you were witty as you typed this while breathing thru your mouth.

Mullen was "GOING AFTER" Corral in his living room Monday...this is the point, and nothing you say to justify and make Mullen and UF look like the winner in this is valid.

This is SOP for Mullen and recruiting. Get ready for plenty of head scratchers, Gator Fan. You will love his development of 3*s, and hate his allergy to 5*s
Many a State fan has accused Mullen of being a lazy recruiter. They wonder why he put so little effort into Brown and Lashley, two blue chips from his own backyard. Is he really as lazy as they claim, or does his face-to-face personality have all the warmth of an iceberg?

Worked out pretty well, no? Considering his record at MSU?
the part in bold...I cant believe I just read a gator fan post the part in bold above. So the once mighty Florida Gators now exhalt the record of a head coach who averaged a modest 7 wins a year for a decade, four of which were against what was the easiest non conference schedule in the SEC over that same decade.

I understand that this is one of those few Ole Miss moments where you guys have something nice -- but Mullen did not pursue Corral with any real effort. Just look at the Gator board about how we argued for pages as to why Mullen didn't even call Corral a week and a half into being the HC.
One of the first days he was on an in-house visit with Fields, he has spoken to multiple quarterbacks.
Corral was not high on Mullen's priority list, although I believe he should have been.

And the other three would have been any combination of La Tech, Tenn-Martin, UAB or South Alabama. Wait, scratch South Alabama.

So just a few days before Early Signing Day Mullen and his top assistant toss away a day each to fly to California and back for someone he really didn't want? No. Not much effort there.

How many QBs have you coached that made it to the NFL?

Beats me? Look, we argued about this on the Florida board. He absolutely should have been a priority in my mind (unless we actually get Emory Jones, which is looking more likely). All I know is that Mullen didn't even call him in the first week and a half, maybe two weeks, and had already talked to tons of prospects -- including an in-home visit with Fields.
If you're saying an in-home visit is the be all and end all, then what does it say about a coach who visits another quarterback committed to another school a whole month before he even looks at you?
It either matters or it doesn't.
I'm not saying I didn't want Corral and that it's not a good get for Ole Miss -- but we literally had a month long debate shite-talking Mullen for not even calling him until his second or third week as HC.

Damn Mullenz got owned by Luke

By taking a QB that Mullen wouldn't even call for a good minute? I mean, we just got our sixth Crystal Ball for Emory Jones, who happened to visit (without Ohio State knowing) less than 24 hours after Corral's de-commitment.
Maybe it's a coincidence, or maybe this was the plan anyway.
But it seems that both Corral and Mullen will get what they want.
