There is only one SEC team I would like on our regular schedule and that's Georgia. We used to play them every year and was a lot of fun even though they have the overall.
You sure you want that?
And you will be playing us again in January.

Why would Clemson want in when they can dominate ACC forever? I'm pretty sure this is the same reason why Florida State never bothered with coming to the SEC.

Not a good fit for OU.
The B12 is fine for them and if it dissolves in the future we will likely go PAC.
Not a big fan of +14 team conferences though. It's like two conferences with a scheduling agreement. I dont like a 10 team league either.....12 was just right.

oklahoma fans are conflicted bunch. on one hand, they exhibit stockholm-like syndrome with regards to texas and the big 12, yet they are always over here begging for attention.

I've never heard any Clemson fans say they would rather be in the SEC. It is what it is. Life is good.

Absolutely...I have been around enough to vividly remember the UGA-Clemson series during the Danny Ford era.
As for January...you take care of your business and we will try to do the same and should we be fortunate enough to play each other that would be a very special CFP Title game.

Because the conference is so easy to win Georgia did it?
yeah, maybe even easy enough for LSU to win it sometime soon
Eaux, wait a minute, I forgot that y'all have a 2nd rate D-Line coach running things
Nevermind...

you haven't been paying attention then
too bad Danny Ford was such a belligerent cheater, or y'all would have gotten the invite instead of USCe
actions can have consequences...

Clemson is already in the southeast and king of the ACC. MiamiU is in the other division of the conference so they, I'm sure, have no desire to leave the ACC and join the SEC.

I'd like to see a 4 division super conference with Clemson FSU MiamiU NC VT Duke GT LV combined in.

Yep..South Carolina is really tearing the SEC up...You got me....It seems the only teams wanting in the SEC is Big 12 teams...
Again, what would being in the SEC do for Clemson that it isn't receiving in the ACC?

Well to answer the question, money. The SEC splits a larger share of tv revenue than the ACC
Conference Avg. Revenue Avg. Expenses Avg. Profit/Loss
SEC $122,517,029 $105,609,195 $16,907,834
Big Ten $108,498,429 $106,604,255 $1,894,174
Big 12 $103,336,579 $98,491,826 $4,844,753
ACC $90,416,823 $87,753,344 $2,663,479
Pac-12 $81,255,208 $82,774,493 ($1,519,285)

The SEC makes a per-team average of about $14 million more in revenue than its closest peer and $12 million more in average profit after expenses.
You can sit there and say, "I don't want to join the SEC." Yet here you are on an SEC board posting. Hmmm? It doesn't matter anyway. You see contrary to what some posters on here say. Alabama does not run the SEC, they are just the most consistent program. All major decisions are voted on by reps of each school. The decision to add a new member has to be unanimous, and Cocky will always say no. OU has a real shot but Clemson has zero shot. So the point is moot.

If money was what won championships then every team in the SEC would have a national title. Furthermore teams like Texas, Notre Dame, Penn State Southern Cal to namea few of the very wealthy program should be ruling college football as they have "ridiculous" money. I can't speak for every school in the ACC or SEC, but Clemson had built one of the finest football complex's in college football that is superior to most SEC schools. Clemson is taking in enough revenue to accomplish what it needs to be a National Power and the proof is quite clear.
All schools get the same thing...85 scholarships...That's it. So the coaching staff is usually the deciding factor. Not just in X's and O's, but recruiting, playing the political game of keeping the boosters happy and their checkbooks open. The SEC is going through coaches like cheese and crackers...
As for my posing on the this open forum...its simple It has more activity from a diverse group. But I don't need foe Clemson to leave the ACC to chat on some different forums.
It seems to bother you that Clemson doesn't need the SEC...

It doesn't matter. Like I said, Clemson has zero shot of ever joining the SEC anyway because Cocky will always, lol well cock block Clemson. As for whether or not you personally wish to join the SEC, I couldn't care less. I will say this. I have no desire to post on ACC sites.I think the fact you are posting here speaks volumes of how you feel about the SEC.But whatever bro. Your response reminds me of a Shakespeare quote. "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."

Same here. UGA and Clemson had a great rivalry back in the day.

I would love to see that game. But at the same time I want UGA to bring down the Bama dynasty. Someone's gotta do it.

You are correct. But, if we're going to be stuck with 14 teams , the SEC damn sure needs a 9 game conference schedule. Should have done it years ago.

I'm not trying to sell you on why you should want to join the SEC and ignore the USC flair for a moment and answer honestly...do you actually enjoy playing the ACC slate?
Putting myself in a Clemson fan's shoes I would hate it. You get 2-3 games against historically good or big programs a year.
Carolina's conf opponents this year:
- Missouri
- Kentucky
- Texas A&M
- Arkansas
- Tennessee
- Vanderbilt
- Georgia
- Florida
All of those schools except for maybe Vandy and UK are primarily football schools, and all of them except for Vandy are the flagship universities of their states (arguable for TAMU).
Clemson's conference opponents:
- Louisville
- Boston College
- Virginia Tech
- Wake
- Syracuse
- Georgia Tech
- NC State
- Florida State
Outside of FSU and maybe VT how do you get excited for the regular season? Not counting the NC and VA schools which are academic and basketball minded, the conference is made up of the also-ran universities.
I imagine your answer will be "of course we're excited, because we're going to win it all and go to the playoffs because we're Clemson, shut up lil bro"...and that's fine, but I think if you're honest you'll admit the competition is more exciting in the SEC and the games mean more.
