Deal has been worked out.
Source that told me has been right about everything. It's my source, so can down vote and dismiss, it's okay. If this guy said it. It's because he knows directly from UAA memebers.

I know Florida has been at their best with the spread O, but this guy specifically isn't all that and benefitted from Oregon.

Deal is agreed upon in principle, but nothing signed yet. That was the latest (as of 30 minutes ago). But barring a huge snag, he'll be Florida's next coach.

Should be a nice early bump in recruiting and he'll definitely take advantage of UF's speed (assuming any of this is true). His coordinator hires will be something to watch.

Why wait till Friday? Seems like a easy way to just say it fell through when it doesn't happen. Nothing is stoping Stricklin from announcing it now. If it's not announced tonight I doubt it's Kelly, no reason to hold off on a guy that's not coaching.

Smart vs Kelly will be very fun for the next few years. Be nice to see both programs at their finest like the 05-08 days again.

I don't know much about him or the Oregon program, how did he benefit from Oregon? Weren't they fairly bad before he got there? I know the Nike money and uniform thing were a big help, is that what you mean?
